Purple Reaper Horde

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Purple Reaper Horde from the Creative inventory, or craft it at a crafting table.
2. Equip it in your hand.
3. Strike a mob or other entity with the scythe.
4. Each successful hit summons a ring of 23 zombies around the target. The zombies appear about 2.5 blocks from the struck entity.

Overview

Purple Reaper Horde is a combat item that turns successful melee hits into zombie reinforcements. Use the scythe against a target to surround it with a horde and overwhelm nearby enemies.

How To Use

Hold the Purple Reaper Horde and use the normal attack control to hit a mob or other entity. The horde is summoned immediately around the entity that was struck.

The zombies are distributed in a ring rather than placed in one location, giving them room to appear around the target. Each successful hit can summon another group of 23 zombies, so avoid repeatedly striking a target unless you are prepared for a rapidly growing horde.

Crafting And Obtaining

The scythe can be crafted at a crafting table using amethyst shards, purple dye, a netherite sword, a stick, and a bone.

It is also available in the Creative inventory under the equipment category. Search for Purple Reaper Horde to find it quickly.

When the scythe loses durability, repair it with amethyst shards.

Abilities And Mechanics

Zombie Horde Summoning

Hitting an entity with the scythe summons exactly 23 zombies in the struck entity’s dimension. They appear in a surrounding ring approximately 2.5 blocks from the target.

The effect is triggered by striking an entity, not by simply holding or swinging the item in the air.

Weapon Properties

The scythe is enchantable as a sword-type item.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the scythe against a single target to create an immediate distraction or surround an enemy.
• Fight in an open area so the summoned zombies have room to spawn and move.
• Keep an escape route available: repeated hits can produce multiple hordes very quickly.
• Use terrain, walls, or elevated positions to avoid being surrounded by the zombies you summon.
• Carry amethyst shards for repairs during extended battles.
