Demon Kings Cursed Katana

Quickstart

1. Craft the katana at a crafting table using one Crying Obsidian, one Netherite Ingot, and one Stick.

1. Equip the Demon Kings Cursed Katana in your hand.
2. Use the katana or hit an entity to claim it as your own. The first player to successfully use it becomes the chosen wielder for the world.
3. Use the katana to activate your dark aura, or attack an entity to curse it.
4. Do not let another player use or attack with the katana. Any player other than the chosen wielder is permanently blinded by the Demon King.

In Creative mode, search for Demon Kings Cursed Katana in the Equipment section. You can also obtain it with:

/give @s com_demon_kings_cursed_katana_oi2qyohg:my_sword

Overview

The Demon Kings Cursed Katana is a rare, glowing melee weapon with a world-bound wielder curse. Its first user becomes the only player allowed to wield its power. The chosen wielder gains temporary combat benefits, while struck entities suffer several debilitating effects.

The katana has:

• 12 attack damage
• 666 durability
• Epic rarity
• A permanent enchantment glint
• A maximum stack size of 1
• Compatibility with sword enchantments

How To Use

Claiming the Katana

The first player to either use the katana or hit an entity with it becomes the chosen wielder. This choice is tied to the world, so the katana remains bound to that player.

Simply holding or equipping the katana does not claim it. Use it or make a successful attack to activate the bond.

Activating the Dark Aura

Use the katana normally to activate the dark aura. The chosen wielder receives:

• Strength for 5 seconds
• Resistance for 5 seconds
• Night Vision for 5 seconds

The aura can also activate when the chosen wielder hits an entity.

Attacking With the Katana

When the chosen wielder hits an entity, the target receives:

• Wither II for 8 seconds
• Weakness II for 10 seconds
• Slowness II for 5 seconds
• Darkness for 5 seconds

The attacker also receives the dark aura after a successful hit.

Unauthorized Use

A player who is not the chosen wielder cannot safely use the katana. If they use it or attack with it:

• They are permanently blinded.
• Blindness is continuously reapplied.
• The katana does not grant them its dark aura or attack curse.

Avoid passing the katana to other players unless you are prepared for them to lose their sight.

Craft the katana at a crafting table with one of each:

• Crying Obsidian
• Netherite Ingot
• Stick

The recipe produces one Demon Kings Cursed Katana and is arranged vertically, with Crying Obsidian above Netherite Ingot above Stick.

You can also obtain the katana from the Creative inventory under Equipment.

Abilities And Mechanics

The weapon has a single-item stack size, so each katana occupies its own inventory slot.

Progression And Strategy

• Gather Crying Obsidian and a Netherite Ingot before crafting the weapon.
• Decide who will claim the katana before using it for the first time.
• Keep it in the chosen wielder’s possession to prevent accidental use by others.
• Use the katana before a fight to gain Night Vision, Strength, and Resistance.
• Strike important targets early to apply Wither, Weakness, Slowness, and Darkness.
• Treat the katana as a world-level relic: its wielder bond is not a per-player or per-item choice.
