Quickstart

Craft a Mossfire Rifle and a supply of magazines at a crafting table:

Equip the rifle in your main hand and keep magazines in your inventory or offhand. Aim at a target and hold Use to fire; release to stop. While holding the rifle, sneak to enter its scoped view.

Overview

The Mossfire Rifle is a military-green, automatic hitscan weapon. Its shots travel instantly toward your aim, with a visible tracer and a firing sound.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Keep magazines in your inventory or offhand; the rifle can draw ammunition from either.
• Hold Use to fire continuously, then release to stop. The rifle fires about every three ticks.
• Sneak with the rifle equipped to use the magnified scoped view. You can continue holding Use to fire while sneaking.
• The rifle deals 4 damage per shot and has 36 durability.

Abilities And Mechanics

The rifle fires along your aim rather than launching a slow-moving projectile, making it suited to distant targets. Its range is 48 blocks, and its rapid fire lets you keep shooting for as long as you hold the trigger and have ammunition.

Progression And Strategy

Make magazines alongside the rifle so you have ammunition ready before heading out. Use the scope when lining up distant shots, and keep your aim on the target during automatic fire.
