Manaforged Summons
Quickstart
- Craft a Shadow Rod , then use it to craft a Shadowforged Staff .
- Hold the staff and right-click to summon an Umbral Wolf in front of you. Try it somewhere with room for the wolf to appear.
- Mana regenerates automatically. While holding any Manaforged staff, check the action bar for your current mana and summon count.
- Craft a Mana Crystal and right-click with it selected to increase your mana reserve.
Overview
Manaforged Summons lets you spend mana to call wolf companions with five magical staffs. Each staff summons a different wolf, with its own mana cost and combat attributes. Your mana regenerates over time, and Mana Crystals can expand your maximum reserve.
What It Adds
- Five summon staffs: Shadowforged, Blaze-Forged, Stormforged, Life-Forged, and Ruin-Forged.
- Five named spirit wolf companions: Umbral, Ember, Tempest, Verdant, and Ruin.
- Mana Crystals to increase your mana capacity.
- Gold, Shadow, Storm, and Ruin Rods used to craft some staffs.
How To Use
- Summon: Hold a staff and right-click. It spends mana and calls its wolf just ahead of you. Staffs have a brief cooldown between uses.
- Check mana: Hold a staff in either hand to see your current mana, maximum mana, and summon count in the action bar.
- Regenerate: Mana restores automatically at 1 point per second, up to your maximum.
- Expand your reserve: Right-click with a Mana Crystal selected. Each successful use raises your maximum mana by 25 and also restores 25 mana. Your reserve can reach 300; crystals have no effect once you reach that limit.
- Manage companions: You can have up to three of your summoned wolves within 48 blocks of you. A staff won’t summon another while that nearby limit is reached.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the staffs, rods, and crystals in a crafting table. Each recipe shortcode shows the recipe when hovered over or tapped.
| Item | Recipe |
|---|---|
| Mana Crystal | |
| Gold Rod | |
| Shadow Rod | |
| Storm Rod | |
| Ruin Rod | |
| Shadowforged Staff | |
| Blaze-Forged Staff | |
| Stormforged Staff | |
| Life-Forged Staff | |
| Ruin-Forged Staff |
Abilities And Mechanics
Each staff summons a tamed, persistent wolf with the name and attributes shown below. Higher costs generally provide tougher or harder-hitting companions.
| Staff | Companion | Mana cost | Health | Attack damage | Movement speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shadowforged Staff | Umbral Wolf | 10 | 14 | 4 | 0.32 |
| Blaze-Forged Staff | Ember Wolf | 20 | 20 | 6 | 0.34 |
| Stormforged Staff | Tempest Wolf | 30 | 25 | 8 | 0.38 |
| Life-Forged Staff | Verdant Wolf | 45 | 32 | 7 | 0.36 |
| Ruin-Forged Staff | Ruin Wolf | 65 | 42 | 12 | 0.42 |
Your mana reserve starts at 100, and Mana Crystals can raise it in 25-point steps up to 300. Keep an eye on the action bar before attempting an expensive summon.
Progression And Strategy
Begin with the Shadowforged Staff to summon companions cheaply, then work toward stronger staffs as you gather their ingredients. The Ruin-Forged Staff summons the strongest wolf, but its 65-mana cost makes a larger reserve useful. Craft Mana Crystals to build that reserve, and leave open space ahead of you when summoning so your companion has room to appear.
