Description
Harvest souls from fallen mobs to summon loyal, iron-sword-wielding armored zombies. They target the mobs you attack, never turn on you, and sit when commanded.
Mod Wiki
Ironbound Soul Minions
Quickstart
- Craft the Ironbound Soul Minions sword at a crafting table:

- Equip it and kill mobs with it to harvest 1 soul per kill. Your stored soul count appears in the messages you receive.
- Once you have at least 3 souls, use the sword to summon a minion in front of you. Each summon spends 3 souls.
- Attack a mob to direct your minions toward it. Interact with one of your minions to make it sit; interact again to make it stand.
Overview
The mod’s main loop is to harvest souls with the sword and spend them to raise loyal, armored zombie minions. Minions attack mobs you target and do not turn against you.
What It Adds
- Ironbound Soul Minions sword: A melee weapon that harvests souls from mobs it kills and summons minions when used. It has 7 attack damage and 600 durability.
- Soul Minion: A zombie equipped with an iron sword, helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. It has 20 health.
How To Use
- Harvest souls: Kill mobs with the sword. Each kill grants 1 soul; you’ll see a message with your stored total.
- Summon a minion: Use the sword when you have at least 3 souls. The minion appears in front of you, and a message shows how many souls remain.
- Give a sit or stand command: Interact with a minion you summoned to toggle between sitting and standing. You can command your own minions, not other players’ minions.
- Direct minions in combat: Attack a mob to make your minions target it. They remain loyal to you.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the sword at a crafting table using the recipe in Quickstart. It can be repaired with bones.
Abilities And Mechanics
Minions come fully equipped when summoned. They burn in daylight and can transform into drowned underwater, so keep those hazards in mind when choosing where to take them.
Progression And Strategy
Build up souls by hunting mobs with the sword, then spend them in groups of three to grow your minion force. Use the sit command to keep minions in place when you don’t want them following you into danger.
