Quickstart
- On your first join, follow the tutorial arrow to the marked Iron Golem. A Netherite Sword is placed in your inventory; defeat the golem to capture its soul.
- Soul Capture starts ON. You can also defeat other living creatures with a weapon; the Book of Hayuen does not need to be in your hand. A soul effect flies to you when a capture is recorded.
- Use the Book of Hayuen to browse your collection, choose a form, and try its abilities. You can craft another book with .
Overview
Capture creature souls and select their profiles to use their abilities as your player character. Souls are records in your collection, not creatures that follow or fight for you. Your character remains the player—not a spawned mob—and selected forms do not give you mob AI.
Supported vanilla creature families can also have a player-form appearance. Other souls may grant abilities without changing your appearance.
What It Adds
- Book of Hayuen: a menu for your soul collection, form selection, capture setting, and ability options.
- Soul Capture: records player-caused creature kills, including kills with player-owned projectiles.
- Soul profiles: provide a selection of active abilities and, for some forms, passive benefits.
- A first-soul tutorial: guides you to a marked Iron Golem and supplies a Netherite Sword.
Repeated captures increase that soul’s count. Different variants and baby forms can appear as separate entries.
How To Use
Use the Book of Hayuen from your inventory or hotbar to open INFINITY MIND POWER.
- Soul Collection lets you inspect captured souls, search or filter the list, and browse pages.
- Form Selection activates a captured soul’s profile. Choose Return to Normal to end it.
- Capture Settings turns player-caused soul capture on or off.
- Options lists the active profile’s available powers. Select a power there to use it; the menu shows its cooldown.
A form’s passive benefits apply while that form is active. Active powers have individual cooldowns of about 12 seconds.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Book of Hayuen at a crafting table:
The first-soul tutorial provides a Netherite Sword, but any normal weapon can be used to defeat creatures for capture. Keep Soul Capture on and deal the final player-caused damage.
Abilities And Mechanics
The Book shows which powers a selected soul provides. Examples include:

| Flame Burst | Sets a target you are looking toward on fire; without a target, grants brief fire resistance. |
| Soul Bolt | Damages a target you are looking toward at range. |
| Controlled Shockwave | Damages nearby creatures; without a target, grants brief resistance. |
| Aquatic Adaptation | Grants water breathing and faster swimming for a short time. |
| Climber’s Lunge | Briefly boosts speed and jumping. |
| Gentle Descent | Grants slow falling and a short jump boost. |
| Might | Briefly boosts melee strength. |
| Soul Guard | Briefly grants resistance and absorption. |
| Venom Touch | Poisons a nearby target you are looking toward; without one, briefly boosts your speed. |
| Phase Step | Moves you a short distance forward if there is room. |
| Echo Pulse | Damages a target you are looking toward. |
| Wool Gift / Egg Lay | Gives you white wool or an egg. |
| Milk Pail | Turns a single bucket in your inventory into a milk bucket. |

Progression And Strategy
Start with the marked Iron Golem, then capture creatures with different strengths and browse their profiles in the Book. Use passive benefits to suit your environment, and save active powers for situations where their short effects are useful. If you do not see a capture, check that Soul Capture is on and that you dealt the creature’s final damage.
