Description:
The Hauntweaver Broodmother is a boss-tier spider that roams the Overworld at any light level. She is roughly 2.5× the size of a normal spider and brings a swarm of small spider minions with her. Defeating her rewards you with Haunted Webs, a unique crafting material used to build a powerful armor set and weapons that give spider-like abilities to the wearer.
| Content | Description |
|---|---|
| Hauntweaver Broodmother | Boss spider – 100 HP, poisonous bite, summons minions |
| Mini Hauntweaver | Small spider minion summoned by the Broodmother; places cobwebs at victims' feet |
| Haunted Web | Boss drop; core crafting ingredient |
| Haunted Web Sword | High-damage, high-durability melee weapon |
| Haunted Web Bow | Durable bow that fires empowered arrows |
| Haunted Arrow | Deals double the damage of a normal arrow |
| Haunted Web Helmet / Chestplate / Leggings / Boots | Full armor set with special wall-climbing abilities |
The Broodmother spawns in the Overworld using standard monster spawn rules, so she can appear in any biome at any time of day. She hits hard (8 attack damage), applies Poison II on each bite, and resists knockback significantly — you cannot easily knock her back to create distance.
Every 10 seconds while she has a target, she summons 2–3 Mini Hauntweavers nearby. Mini Hauntweavers are fast (faster than the Broodmother) and will place a cobweb directly under your feet when they get close, trapping you. Prioritize killing them quickly or maintain distance to avoid being snared while the Broodmother closes in.
Recommended strategies:
Wearing all four Haunted Web armor pieces simultaneously unlocks two passive abilities:
Repairing any piece of the armor set requires Haunted Webs on an anvil.
Dropped by the Hauntweaver Broodmother on death:
Crafted with 2 Haunted Webs (blade) and 1 Stick (handle) in a vertical column:
[ W ]
[ W ]
[ S ]
(W = Haunted Web, S = Stick)
High durability (2600) and strong attack damage.
Crafted with 3 Haunted Webs and 3 Strings:
[ ] [W] [S]
[W] [ ] [S]
[ ] [W] [S]
(W = Haunted Web, S = String)
Durability: 768. When fired, the bow boosts every arrow to deal 7 base damage and marks it as a critical hit regardless of charge.
Shapeless recipe — combine 4 regular Arrows with 1 Haunted Web to produce 4 Haunted Arrows.
Haunted Arrows deal double the base damage of a normal arrow (4.0 base damage vs. 2.0). They work with any bow, including the Haunted Web Bow for maximum effect.
All armor pieces use only Haunted Webs. Crafting follows the standard armor patterns:
| Piece | Pattern |
|---|---|
| Helmet | WWW / W_W |
| Chestplate | W_W / WWW / WWW |
| Leggings | WWW / W_W / W_W |
| Boots | W_W / W_W |
The armor material is extremely durable (base durability multiplier of 42, comparable to Netherite tier) and provides solid protection — Helmet: 4, Chestplate: 10, Leggings: 8, Boots: 4 armor points, plus toughness and knockback resistance.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Max Health | 100 HP |
| Attack Damage | 8 |
| Armor | 6 |
| Knockback Resistance | 50% |
| Movement Speed | Slightly faster than a normal spider |
| XP Reward | 50 |
The Haunted Web Bow overrides the arrow's power on every shot, setting base damage to 7 and flagging the arrow as a critical. This applies regardless of which arrows you load — but using Haunted Arrows stacks the effect, letting them reach maximum possible damage output.
The climbing works exactly like a ladder: moving into any solid wall surface while wearing the full set allows you to climb upward freely. Gravity resumes the moment you leave the wall or take off a piece of armor. Holding Sneak while on a wall and airborne cancels downward momentum so you stay in place — release Sneak to resume climbing or falling.
The Shadow Silk Spider is a small, fluffy, tameable spider with gentle shadowy eyes and subtle leopard-like spots that prefers cozy, shady hiding spots and will defend you by attacking hostile mobs while leaving friendly creatures alone. They come in a streamlined set of colorful, fluffy variants—the sun-patterned versions have been removed—so each spider keeps its color family, soft fur, and classic spider face, and tamed spiders will automatically seek out and attack nearby built-in hostile mobs but will only target modded creatures if their owner has directly attacked them first.
Adds a Pendulum Hook grappling tool that attaches to blocks so you can swing like a pendulum, with stronger steering, a slightly more pronounced arc, and a much more powerful detach boost; right-click to fire and hold while attached to swing, use WASD to steer responsively, and release right-click to detach and be launched in the direction you are looking. The hook now features a classic iron multi-pronged grappling-hook appearance and uses a short, clicky hook sound for firing, attaching, swinging ticks, and detaching to give clearer audio feedback while you swing.
The Glassglow Spirit Spider is a mystical spider with a glass-like, softly glowing body and bright eyes that light up dark places; it naturally spawns in dark areas and can be tamed with string to follow you, curl up in cobwebs, or rest while you sleep. Tamed spiders will defend you by seeking out hostile monsters while ignoring you, friendly animals, and other Glassglow spiders, and this mod adds two new themed variants — a shadowy Void Glassglow Spirit Spider and a swirling Vortex Glassglow Spirit Spider — each with distinctive dark-themed appearances and matching spawn eggs but the same tameable, protective behavior.
The Bold Jumping Spider is an adorable, tameable spider companion you calm with spider eyes; it loyally follows you, is passive toward players, can ride on your shoulder, remembers and defends against foes it has faced, and helps in combat by leaping at enemies and shooting slowing webs while avoiding villagers, iron golems, and other players unless provoked. Wild Bold Jumping Spiders now spawn in six permanent visual varieties — original, black-and-white, tan, white, a bright orange with cobalt-blue fangs, and a new cream-colored variant with dark green fangs and cute jumping-spider eyes — and they occasionally perform short exploratory hops while idle for extra charm.
This mod adds a dangerous Desert Scorpion to Minecraft's desert biomes - a hip-height hostile creature that uses its deadly sting and powerful claws to attack players. When it strikes, the scorpion inflicts a poisonous sting that damages you over time, and it has a chance to grab you with its pincers, holding you in place while repeatedly dealing damage and pulling you closer. These aggressive arachnids spawn naturally in deserts and can climb walls like spiders, making them a formidable new threat to desert explorers.
