Guardian Drone Plane

Quickstart

1. Craft the Guardian Drone Control Tablet using the recipe below.
2. Hold the tablet and use it on the ground to place your Guardian Drone Plane.
3. Walk up to the plane and interact with it to hop in the pilot seat.
4. Fly around using your normal movement controls — the plane flies like a vehicle, ignoring gravity.
5. Tap the attack/use action while piloting to fire a Guardian Target Shot at whatever you're aiming at.

Overview

The Guardian Drone Plane is a rideable, flying combat vehicle. Once crafted and placed, it acts as your personal aerial mount, letting you soar over terrain and blast mobs with ranged shots on command. It has no engine to fuel or manage — just hop in, take off, and start shooting.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Placing: Hold the Guardian Drone Control Tablet and use it against a block or the ground to summon the plane at that location.
• Mounting: Approach the plane and interact with it to climb aboard. The interact prompt reads "Pilot Guardian Drone Plane."
• Flying: While seated, you control the plane directly with your movement keys/look direction. It has no gravity, so it holds altitude on its own and moves freely through the air. Strafing and backward movement are supported, though moving backward is slower than moving forward.
• Attacking: While piloting, use your primary attack/use action to fire a Guardian Target Shot — a fast projectile aimed wherever you're looking. Each shot triggers a short cooldown before you can fire again, and you'll see a confirmation message on your screen when a shot is fired.
• Dismounting: Exit the seat as you would leave any vehicle to hop off. The plane stays where you left it, ready to be re-boarded later.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Free flight: The plane has no gravity and can fly over water, land, and obstacles, making it useful for exploration as well as combat.
• Single pilot seat: Only one player can ride at a time, in full control of steering and firing.
• Guardian Target Shot: The plane's ranged attack fires a projectile toward your aim point, useful for picking off mobs from a safe altitude without landing.
• Durable frame: The plane can take a fair amount of punishment before being destroyed, so it can survive some incoming fire while you deal with threats below.

Progression And Strategy

Keep the Control Tablet on hand so you can redeploy the plane wherever you need aerial support. Use altitude to stay out of reach of ground-based mobs while picking them off with Guardian Target Shots, then swoop down or dismount when you need to fight up close. Because the plane doesn't need fuel, it's ready to fly again immediately after landing — making it a convenient, low-maintenance tool for patrolling territory or clearing out hostile mobs from above.
