A OMEGA. Also Will Kill You
Mod Wiki
Bedrock Breaker Creeper
Quickstart
- Open your inventory's creative item list and search for Bedrock Breaker Creeper Spawn Egg.
- Use the spawn egg on the ground to summon the creeper, or let it spawn naturally in dark areas on Normal difficulty and above.
- Keep your distance — this creeper explodes like a normal creeper but with a much larger and more destructive blast.
- Strike it with lightning (or wait for a thunderstorm to hit it naturally) to turn it into a charged variant with an even bigger explosion.
- Try igniting it yourself: hold flint and steel and interact with the creeper to force it to start exploding on command.
- After it detonates, walk to the crater — any bedrock inside the blast radius will be gone, letting you see straight down into the void layers.
Overview
The Bedrock Breaker Creeper is a reskinned, supercharged version of the classic creeper. It glows with a nuclear-green tint, hunts players relentlessly, and unleashes explosions powerful enough to actually destroy bedrock — something normal explosions in the game can never do. It's built for players who want an intense, high-risk mob encounter and the chance to blast open otherwise indestructible terrain.
What It Adds
- Bedrock Breaker Creeper — a monster-type mob that spawns naturally underground and on the surface in dark areas.
- Bedrock Breaker Creeper Spawn Egg — lets you summon this creeper directly from your inventory.
- Charged variant — a lightning-charged form with a distinct armored appearance and a dramatically larger blast.
- Custom animations, glowing textures, and a unique swelling effect as it prepares to explode.
How To Use
- Spawning: Use the spawn egg on any block, or explore dark caves and surface areas at night on Normal/Hard difficulty — the creeper spawns there naturally, especially deep underground on Hard difficulty.
- Triggering an explosion: Get within about 2.5 blocks and it will begin swelling and hissing before detonating. Back away past roughly 6 blocks to make it stop swelling.
- Forced detonation: Hold flint and steel and interact with the creeper directly to ignite it instantly, bypassing the need to get close.
- Charging it: Strike the creeper with lightning to turn it into the charged form, dramatically increasing its explosive power and giving it a new armored look.
- Staying safe: The creeper moves at a modest pace and can climb, so use terrain, ranged attacks, or bows to keep it at a distance before it detonates.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Bedrock-destroying blasts: When this creeper dies (from exploding or otherwise), it clears a spherical area around its death point, turning any bedrock within range into air. A normal explosion covers roughly a 5-block radius; a charged explosion covers roughly an 8-block radius.
- Fire and block damage: Explosions ignite fire and destroy blocks in the area, similar to a stronger TNT blast.
- Aggressive targeting: The creeper actively senses and swells toward nearby players, beginning its fuse automatically once you're close enough and it can see you.
- Health and combat: It has more health than a normal creeper and deals melee damage if you get too close before it detonates.
- Charged state: Triggered by lightning strikes, this state increases explosion power significantly and changes its appearance to an armored look.
Crafting And Obtaining
This mod adds no craftable items or recipes — the creeper and its spawn egg are obtained through creative-mode spawning or natural world spawning, not crafting.
Progression And Strategy
- Approach the Bedrock Breaker Creeper with ranged weapons or traps rather than melee to avoid getting caught in the blast.
- Use its bedrock-clearing explosions strategically to open up access to deep underground areas or the void boundary that are normally sealed off by bedrock.
- Defeating it (especially as a player kill) can yield gunpowder, TNT, and rarely valuable loot such as netherite scrap or a nether star — high risk, high reward.
- If a skeleton, stray, or bogged mob lands the killing blow, the creeper may drop a music disc instead, giving you a reason to lure other mobs into finishing it off.
- Charged creepers are considerably more dangerous due to their larger blast radius — treat any armored-looking creeper with extra caution.
