Glitched Biomes fills the Overworld and Nether with unstable, "corrupted" terrain — bands of bizarre biomes that look like the world glitched out mid-generation. Expect jagged highlands that tower far into the sky, mirrored glass-and-calcite flats, striped void gaps that swallow the ground, amethyst fault lines, sky-suspended grids of floating stone, and pockets of eerie red, lightless, or fractured landscape. Hidden among the chaos are floating loot islands guarded by armed skeletons, and a dangerous five-story underground trial vault filled with trapped chests, TNT, and trial spawners.
New Biomes
| Biome | What To Expect |
|---|---|
| Red Plains | Crimson nylium-covered terrain reminiscent of the Nether, transplanted into the world above |
| Lightless Forest | Dark oak groves with towering trunks, oversized canopy domes, and scattered red mushrooms |
| Highland / Higherland / HighestLand | Increasingly extreme jagged mountain ridges rising far above normal terrain, laced with hidden iron and diamond ore |
| Static Wastes | Broken, corrupted stone terrain |
| Mirror Flats | Reflective flatlands made of smooth quartz, calcite, and glass patches over white concrete |
| Amethyst Faults | Deepslate terrain split by veins of amethyst block and clusters along fault lines |
| Skygrid | A checkerboard world where only every 4th column of blocks remains, leaving floating pillars and grass islands |
| Stripeland | Alternating bands of normal ground and total void — some 16-block-wide stripes have nothing underfoot at all |
| Glitched Chunk | Jagged, spiking corrupted stone reminiscent of "Farlands"-style terrain glitches, found in the Nether |
New Blocks & Items
| Item/Block | Notes |
|---|---|
| Glitched Quartz | A decorative block found on floating skyland structures; mines like stone |
| Void Bloom | A fragile, non-solid plant-like block that breaks instantly and doesn't block movement |
Hidden Structures & Features
This mod does not add any custom crafting recipes. Its blocks and items — Glitched Quartz and Void Bloom — are obtained purely by finding and mining them directly out in the world's glitched biomes and structures, not through a crafting table.
There's no required order to experience this mod — it layers naturally into any playthrough. A good approach:
1.Inspired by Unstable SMP / Unstable Universe's Farland Generation
2.Wifies's King in Yellow ARG Terrain
