    Description:

Discover the Galaxy Mountains, an otherworldly TerraBlender overworld biome of purple ridges, spires, and cavernous canyons with starlit ambience to explore. Wander forests of Nebula Log and Galaxy Leaves to harvest new materials like Astral Soil and Starlit Stone, collect glowing Star Bloom flowers and dense Violet Tendrils for building and decoration, and watch for rare groups of Endermen among the luminous foliage; Galaxy Leaves behave like vanilla leaves—remaining stable after worldgen and decaying normally when their Nebula Log supports are removed. Use /locate biome galaxy-mountains-goe662x7:galaxy_mountains to find these high, alien ridges and establish a base.

    Galaxy Mountains

    Quickstart

    1. Install Galaxy Mountains alongside Fabric API and TerraBlender.
    2. Create a new world (or use an existing one). The Galaxy Mountains biome generates naturally in the overworld as high, alien ridges.
    3. To find the biome quickly, run this command in-game: /locate biome galaxy-mountains-goe662x7:galaxy_mountains
    4. Travel to the coordinates given and explore the purple spires, cavernous canyons, and glowing forests.
    5. Mine Astral Soil with a shovel, Starlit Stone with a pickaxe, and chop Nebula Logs with an axe to start collecting the biome's unique materials.

    Overview

Galaxy Mountains is a TerraBlender overworld biome that replaces standard high-altitude terrain with towering purple ridges, needle spires, and deep canyons bathed in a starlit atmosphere. It is entirely self-contained — no special crafting is required to access it, just explore.

The biome features its own surface layer, alien trees, glowing flora, and occasional groups of naturally-spawning Endermen wandering the luminous undergrowth.

    Biome

    • Galaxy Mountains — a high-elevation overworld biome with dramatic terrain generation, alien forests, and starlit ambience. Endermen spawn here in rare groups.

    How To Use

    Finding the Biome

Use the locate command to pinpoint the nearest Galaxy Mountains:

    /locate biome galaxy-mountains-goe662x7:galaxy_mountains

The biome favors high-altitude, mountainous continental zones, so it may be some distance from spawn in typical worlds.

    Harvesting Materials

    • Walk on the surface to find Astral Soil underfoot. Dig down to hit Starlit Stone.
    • Chop any Nebula Log tree to collect logs and drop Galaxy Leaves naturally (leaves decay when their log supports are removed, just like vanilla oak leaves).
    • Pick up Star Bloom flowers and Violet Tendrils by breaking them with any tool or bare hands — they drop instantly.
    • Galaxy Leaves can also be broken by hand and will drop the leaf block directly.

    Building a Base

The biome's materials make excellent decorative and structural blocks:

    • Starlit Stone is notably blast-resistant and suitable for walls or foundations.
    • Astral Soil works as a thematic ground cover.
    • Star Bloom provides ambient lighting (light level 4) without torches.
    • Violet Tendrils add atmosphere to interiors or garden spaces.
    • Nebula Logs and Galaxy Leaves work like standard wood and leaf blocks for rustic alien-themed builds.

    Abilities And Mechanics

    Galaxy Leaves Decay

Galaxy Leaves behave exactly like vanilla leaves. After world generation they remain in place stably, but if all connected Nebula Log blocks are removed, they will begin to decay and disappear on their own. Break logs carefully if you want to keep decorative leaf canopies intact, or break the leaves first before harvesting the logs.

    Star Bloom Lighting

Star Bloom emits a light level of 4. While subtle, placing clusters of them can softly illuminate paths, rooms, or cave entrances without breaking the alien aesthetic.

    Endermen

Small groups of Endermen spawn naturally in the Galaxy Mountains biome. They roam the luminous forests and ridges, so be mindful when exploring at night or in darker canyon areas — avoid looking at them directly unless you intend to fight.

    Progression And Strategy

    • Early game: Use /locate biome to find the biome fast rather than wandering. Bring a shovel, pickaxe, and axe so you can harvest all surface materials on your first visit.
    • Mid game: Set up a base using Starlit Stone as a durable building material. Farm Star Bloom and Violet Tendrils for decoration and low-level lighting.
    • Aesthetic builds: The combination of Nebula Logs, Galaxy Leaves, Astral Soil floors, and Star Bloom lighting creates a distinctive alien-forest aesthetic unavailable anywhere else in the overworld.
    • Combat: The biome's Endermen population makes it worthwhile to bring a pumpkin helmet if you plan to mine or build extensively — accidental eye contact is easy on uneven terrain.

Known Issue (v4.0.0): A crash can occur shortly after entering the world when Galaxy Mountains terrain first generates. This is caused by a tree-generation bug in the current version. If you experience a freeze or crash a few seconds after loading in, try teleporting away from the biome before it generates, or pre-generate the area using a chunk pre-loader. A fix is expected in a future update.
