Iron Armed Grudge

Quickstart

1. Find an Iron Armed Grudge Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs creative tab.
2. Right-click the egg on the ground to summon the Iron Armed Grudge.
3. Back away — it will immediately target and pursue you, swinging its iron sword.
4. To survive: keep your distance, use ranged weapons, and be prepared for a prolonged fight. It never despawns, so running away only delays the encounter.

Overview

Iron Armed Grudge adds a single creepypasta-inspired hostile mob to the Overworld: the Iron Armed Grudge. This creature relentlessly hunts players day and night, wielding a rusted iron sword and moving with jerky, erratic flailing motions. It emits unsettling Enderman-like stares as ambient sounds and is immune to sunlight, making every moment — not just the night — potentially dangerous.

How To Use

Encountering It in the Wild

The Iron Armed Grudge spawns naturally across all Overworld biomes in groups of 1–6. Once it detects you (up to 40 blocks away), it locks on and gives chase at a faster-than-zombie pace. It will not stop pursuing you — it never despawns and does not burn in sunlight, so it can follow you through the day indefinitely.

Spawning Manually

Use the Iron Armed Grudge Spawn Egg (found in the Spawn Eggs creative tab) to place the creature wherever you want. The egg has a unique custom texture to distinguish it from vanilla spawn eggs.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Persistent Hunting: Has a follow range of 40 blocks and will actively seek out and attack players on sight. It also retaliates against anything that hurts it.
• No Despawn: Unlike most hostile mobs, the Iron Armed Grudge never despawns. Once it spawns in your world, it stays until killed.
• Daylight Immunity: It does not catch fire or take damage in sunlight, allowing it to hunt players around the clock.
• Flailing Movement: Its body and head jerk erratically at rapid intervals, giving it an unsettling, unpredictable look as it approaches. Its model also wobbles slightly as it moves.
• Iron Sword: Always carries an iron sword in its main hand, dealing significant melee damage on each hit.
• Eerie Sounds: Emits the Enderman stare sound as its ambient noise, with zombie hurt/death sounds when damaged or killed.

Tips for dealing with the Iron Armed Grudge:

• Use ranged weapons. Bows, crossbows, and tridents let you chip away at its 30 hearts before it closes the gap.
• Don't ignore it. Since it never despawns, leaving it alone means it will be waiting for you on every return visit to that area.
• Prepare before combat. With 7 damage per hit and fast movement, iron armor or better is strongly recommended before engaging in melee.
• Multiple can spawn together. Groups of up to 6 can appear, so be cautious when exploring biomes — you may attract a pack.
• Night is not uniquely dangerous. Unlike zombies, the Iron Armed Grudge is equally threatening at noon as it is at midnight.
