Dragon Egg Mace

Quickstart

1. Gather the crafting ingredients: three Maces, one Dragon Egg, two Nether Stars, and three Netherite Blocks.
2. Open a Crafting Table and craft the Dragon Egg Mace using the recipe below.
3. Equip it in your hand and swing (tap/left-click) to attack enemies at close range.

Overview

The Dragon Egg Mace is a single, powerful melee weapon — a brutal spiked mace crowned with a Dragon motif. It hits hard and applies debilitating status effects to anything it strikes, making it one of the most punishing close-range weapons available. It appears in the Equipment tab of your inventory and carries an epic enchantment glow.

What It Adds

How To Use

Equip the Dragon Egg Mace in your main hand and attack enemies at close range just like any melee weapon — tap or left-click to swing. Every successful hit applies three status effects to the target for 20 seconds:

• Slowness II — drastically reduces the target's movement speed.
• Poison II — deals continuous poison damage over time.
• Slow Falling I — prevents the target from taking fall damage and slows their descent.

The combination of Poison and Slowness means that anything you hit is both taking ongoing damage and unable to flee effectively.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Dragon Egg Mace is crafted at a Crafting Table. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have a Mace, Dragon Egg, Nether Star, and Netherite Block in your inventory.

Note: Only one Dragon Egg exists in a normal world (dropped by the Ender Dragon). Plan accordingly — you will need to obtain it before crafting.

Abilities And Mechanics

• On-Hit Effects: Every melee hit inflicts Slowness II, Poison II, and Slow Falling I on the struck entity for 20 seconds. Effects show particles so you can confirm they landed.
• Epic Glow: The item has a permanent enchantment glint, reflecting its rare status.
• Enchantable: Uses the sword enchantment slot, so it accepts Sharpness, Looting, Unbreaking, Mending, and other sword-compatible enchantments.
• Repairable: Use a Netherite Ingot at an anvil to restore 400 durability per ingot.
• Stack Size: 1 — you can only carry one per inventory slot.

Progression And Strategy

• Boss Fights: The Slowness II debuff is particularly effective against fast mobs like the Warden or Piglin Brutes — land one hit and they immediately become easier to kite.
• PvP: Poison II combined with Slowness II puts opponents in a very difficult position; they take ticking damage and cannot run away efficiently.
• Slow Falling Utility: Hitting a mob near a cliff or over a void prevents it from dying to fall damage, keeping loot intact. Against players in PvP, it can actually save them — consider your positioning.
• Enchanting Priority: Mending is highly recommended given the cost of the recipe. Unbreaking III extends durability significantly. Sharpness V or Looting III are excellent additions.
• Endgame Weapon: Because the recipe requires a Dragon Egg, Nether Stars, and Netherite Blocks, this weapon is firmly an endgame item. Save it for the toughest encounters and PvP scenarios.
