Quickstart

1. Open your crafting table — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.
2. Craft the Cheese Launcher Blade:

1. Equip it in your main hand.
2. Hit any mob or player as you would with a normal sword — they will be blasted skyward with a satisfying launch sound.

Overview

The Cheese Launcher Blade is a single, powerful sword that combines high melee damage with a dramatic knockback effect. Every hit sends the target soaring through the air in a wide upward arc, carrying them a huge distance across the landscape. It is equally useful as a serious combat tool and as a spectacularly chaotic way to clear out enemies.

What It Adds

The mod adds one item: the Cheese Launcher Blade. It has iron-tier tool properties with boosted attack damage, and counts as a sword for all purposes (enchantments, combat mechanics, etc.).

Abilities And Mechanics

• Launch on hit — Striking any mob or player sends them flying in the direction you are facing, with a strong upward arc. The force is large enough to carry targets approximately 100 blocks through the air.
• High damage — The blade deals significantly more damage than a standard iron sword, making it a threatening weapon even ignoring the launch effect.
• Custom launch sound — Every successful hit triggers a unique sound effect at the point of impact, audible to all nearby players.
• No special activation — There is no right-click ability or charge mechanic. Simply left-click to attack as normal; the launch effect triggers automatically on every hit.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is granted automatically upon joining any world, so it will always appear in your recipe book. Craft it at a standard crafting table using three golden swords and two sticks:

The blade stacks to 1 and can be enchanted like any other sword.

Progression And Strategy

• Crowd control — Use the Cheese Launcher Blade to scatter groups of mobs before finishing them individually, preventing them from surrounding you.
• Cliff edges and void — Launching enemies off ledges, into ravines, or over the void in the End is a highly effective (and entertaining) strategy.
• PvP disruption — In multiplayer, a single hit can send opponents flying far out of range, buying you time to reposition or escape.
• Fall damage — Enemies launched high into the air will take significant fall damage upon landing, softening them up even if you don't immediately follow up.
• Durability — Like all swords, the blade will wear down with use; keep spare materials on hand to craft a replacement.
