Quickstart

1. Explore the Overworld and mine Silver Ore and Sunstone Ore with an iron pickaxe or better. Each drops its corresponding material directly.
2. Craft and use an Adventurer Draw Sigil to receive a role. Then craft a Rift Champion Seal and use it when you’re ready for a fight.
3. Defeat the Ravager called the Rift Champion to earn Astral Essence. Use the essence to craft an Echo Reach Compass; use the compass to enter the Echo Reach, and use it again to return to the Overworld.

Overview

Choose an adventurer role, explore the Overworld’s Rift Highlands and Astral Lakes, and challenge the Rift Champion. The Champion’s Astral Essence lets you craft a compass to travel to the mysterious Echo Reach.

What It Adds

• Ores and materials: Silver Ore, Sunstone Ore, Silver Ingots, Sunstone Shards, and Astral Essence.
• Craftable items: an Adventurer Draw Sigil, Rift Champion Seal, Echo Reach Compass, and Starsteel Blade.
• New locations: the Rift Highlands and Astral Lakes in the Overworld, plus the Echo Reach dimension.
• A boss encounter: a powerful Ravager known as the Rift Champion.

How To Use

• Choose a role: Use an Adventurer Draw Sigil while holding it. The role is saved, and using another sigil gives you a new draw.
• Challenge the Champion: Use a Rift Champion Seal while holding it. The Champion appears nearby and attacks you, so prepare before using the seal.
• Travel between realms: Use the Echo Reach Compass while holding it. It takes you to the Echo Reach; use it again there to return to the Overworld.

Crafting And Obtaining

Both ores require an iron pickaxe or better and drop materials directly; Fortune can increase the drops.

• Make a sigil with eight Silver Ingots and one Sunstone Shard:
• Make a Rift Champion Seal with four Silver Ingots, four Sunstone Shards, and an Ender Pearl:
• Make an Echo Reach Compass with four Silver Ingots and one Astral Essence:
• Make a Starsteel Blade with two Sunstone Shards and a stick:

Astral Essence is dropped by the Rift Champion, making the Champion fight the step to complete before crafting your compass.

Abilities And Mechanics

Each role grants a periodically refreshed passive effect:

The Rift Champion has greatly increased health, attack damage, and movement speed compared with an ordinary Ravager. Defeating it drops 2 Astral Essence. If you deal the killing blow, you also receive 100 experience points and the victory counts toward your adventurer rank.

Progression And Strategy

Start with the role that suits your playstyle, then gather ore and craft a Starsteel Blade if you want a dedicated weapon for the challenge. The Rift Champion is dangerous; bring suitable armor, weapons, and supplies, and summon it somewhere you can fight safely.

Each Champion victory counts toward your rank. Your rank increases by one for every two victories, starting at Rank 1. After earning Astral Essence from a victory, craft the compass and explore the Echo Reach.
