Night Cavalier
Quickstart
- In Creative mode, find the Night Cavalier spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on the ground. With cheats enabled, summon it with:
/summon night-cavalier-q5haimvp:night_cavalier_q5haimvp ~ ~ ~ - Prepare for a boss fight: the mounted enemy has a large health pool and attacks players. An open area gives you room to dodge its charges and leaps.
- Watch its attack wind-ups, evade, then strike during its recovery. Don’t assume distance or standing behind it is safe.
- Optional: interact with it using your main hand to cycle through action animations; sneak-interact to stop the animation. This does not tame the boss.
Overview
The Night Cavalier is a hostile, mounted boss with a boss health bar. It moves around its target and uses several distinct attacks, so staying mobile and watching its positioning are key.
What It Adds
- The Night Cavalier boss.
- A matching spawn egg for summoning it in Creative mode.
- A boss fight built around charges, close-range strikes, leaps, and a punishing rear kick.
How To Use
There is no crafting recipe for the spawn egg. Spawn the boss from the Creative Spawn Eggs tab, or use the summon command above.
Abilities And Mechanics
| Attack | What to watch for |
|---|---|
| Sweep | A close-range strike from the front. Move out of its reach when it winds up. |
| Slam | A heavy strike at mid-range. Dodge as it commits to the impact. |
| Charge | The Cavalier backs away before rushing along a set direction. Sidestep rather than retreating straight back. |
| Leap | It jumps toward a ground impact. Keep moving and avoid the landing area. |
| Rear kick | It can kick targets behind it at close range. Don’t linger directly behind the mount. |
The Cavalier briefly recovers after attacking, creating a chance to retaliate. Its charge can reach you even if you initially keep your distance.
Progression And Strategy
Bring strong gear and enough healing for a prolonged fight. Keep the Cavalier in view, dodge its committed attacks, and punish the recovery afterward. Circle carefully: flanking can help you avoid forward attacks, but staying right behind it invites a rear kick.
