Blast Mining Tome

Quickstart

1. Craft the tome at a crafting table using the recipe in Crafting and Obtaining.
2. Put a pickaxe without Blast Mining in your inventory. Select and use the tome, choose that pickaxe in the menu, then select Enchant Pickaxe. The tome is consumed.
3. Equip the powered pickaxe and mine a block to try its 3×3×3 blast mining effect.

Overview

The Blast Mining Tome transfers its mining power to a pickaxe. Once transferred, the tome is used up; the pickaxe carries the Blast Mining: 3×3×3 power.

What It Adds

• Blast Mining Tome: A consumable item used to enchant a pickaxe.
• Blast Mining: Mines nearby blocks around the block you break with the powered pickaxe.

How To Use

Use the tome while it is selected to open the transfer menu. Choose an eligible pickaxe from your inventory and confirm with Enchant Pickaxe. If you cancel the menu, the tome is not consumed.

If you have no eligible pickaxe in your inventory, the tome cannot transfer its power. A pickaxe that already has Blast Mining cannot be selected again.

Abilities And Mechanics

When you mine a block with a Blast Mining pickaxe, the effect targets the surrounding 3×3×3 cube, centered on that block. It checks all directions, not just the direction you are facing, and breaks non-air blocks in the area. The block you mined normally is the center of the cube.

The effect uses destroy-style removal; it does not place or detonate TNT. Inaccessible or protected blocks may be skipped.

Progression And Strategy

Because the effect mines in every direction around the target, choose your starting block carefully: nearby blocks you did not intend to mine can be caught in the same cube.
