Azure Oblivion Turret

Quickstart

1. Craft the Azure Oblivion Turret using the recipe below and place it in your world.
2. The turret automatically faces you when placed and immediately begins scanning for hostile mobs.
3. Right-click any part of the turret to check its current status and cooldown timer.
4. Stand back — when the turret fires, it destroys a massive sphere of blocks around the impact point.

Overview

The Azure Oblivion Turret is a large automated defense structure that hunts down hostile mobs and annihilates them with a powerful blue laser beam. Once placed, it operates entirely on its own — scanning, charging, firing, and reloading without any player input. It is best suited for protecting large areas or wiping out mob farms in spectacular fashion.

• Azure Oblivion Turret — a 4×4×4 multiblock automated defense structure that fires a devastating blue laser at nearby hostile mobs.

How To Use

Placing the Turret

Place the turret item like any block. The structure automatically orients itself to face you and expands into a full 4×4×4 multiblock form. You only need the single turret item; all parts snap into place on their own.

Interacting With the Turret

Players in Creative or Spectator mode are always exempt from targeting, regardless of the player-targeting toggle.

Abilities And Mechanics

Target Detection

The turret continuously scans for hostile mobs within a 150-block radius. When a target is found, it begins a charge sequence before firing.

Charge Sequence

Once a target is acquired, the turret charges for 3 seconds. During this time:

• A spiraling blue particle effect emanates from the turret.
• An escalating sound builds up toward the shot.

Firing the Laser

When the charge completes, the turret fires its blue laser at the target:

• All living entities within 10 blocks of the impact point are instantly eliminated.
• Blocks within a 100-block radius sphere around the impact point are destroyed.
• Players within 50 blocks are knocked back by a powerful shockwave.

Indestructible Blocks

Certain blocks are immune to the laser's block destruction:

• Bedrock, Barrier
• Command Block, Chain Command Block, Repeating Command Block
• Structure Block
• End Portal Frame, End Portal, Nether Portal

Cooldown

After each shot the turret enters a 60-second cooldown before it can fire again. Right-click the turret at any time to see exactly how long remains.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically unlocked when you join a world — no advancement hunting required.

The materials reflect the turret's immense power: Netherite Blocks form the frame, a Dragon Head sits at the top, a Beacon powers the core, and a Nether Star fuels the laser. Gather late-game resources before attempting to craft one.

Progression And Strategy

• Build it late game. The crafting materials — Netherite Blocks, a Dragon Head, a Beacon, and a Nether Star — each require major milestones to obtain.
• Choose placement carefully. The laser obliterates a 100-block sphere of terrain on impact. Keep it away from structures, bases, or anything you want to preserve.
• Use it for perimeter defense. A 150-block detection range covers enormous ground, making it ideal for protecting a base from all directions.
• Mind the shockwave. If you are within 50 blocks when the turret fires, you will feel the blast. Position yourself at a safe distance.
• Player targeting is off by default. On multiplayer servers, sneak + right-click to enable or disable targeting of other survival-mode players as needed.
