Autumn Pumpkin Grove

Quickstart

1. Open the Nature section of the Creative inventory.
2. Place Autumn Grove Soil, Autumn Log, Autumn Leaves, Autumn Shrub, and Grove Pumpkin to build an autumn-themed grove.
3. Use the Autumn Squirrel Spawn Egg to place squirrels around the grove.
4. Try tempting squirrels with carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions. Keep some space available because squirrels are quick and avoid players.
5. For command-based testing, use:
   • /give @s com_autumn_pumpkin_grove_g6rqhk2e:autumn_soil
   • /give @s com_autumn_pumpkin_grove_g6rqhk2e:autumn_log
   • /give @s com_autumn_pumpkin_grove_g6rqhk2e:autumn_leaves

There are no custom crafting recipes. The mod’s blocks and squirrel spawn egg are intended to be obtained from Creative inventory or commands.

Overview

Autumn Pumpkin Grove adds a small autumn-themed collection for decorating forests, gardens, and seasonal builds. Its content includes warm-colored grove blocks, pumpkins, shrubs, and wandering squirrels with multiple coat variants.

Squirrels can spawn naturally in autumn grove areas and can also be placed anywhere with their spawn egg or a summon command.

What It Adds

How To Use

Building With Grove Blocks

Place the blocks like their familiar Minecraft equivalents:

• Use Autumn Grove Soil for paths, clearings, garden beds, or the floor of a grove.
• Stack Autumn Logs to make trunks, branches, fences, supports, and cabin details.
• Place Autumn Leaves around logs to create canopies.
• Add Autumn Shrubs around paths and tree bases. They have no collision, so players and mobs can move through them.
• Scatter Grove Pumpkins through the undergrowth or use them as seasonal decorations.

The custom blocks are available in the Creative inventory under Nature.

Breaking Blocks

• Autumn Log takes about 2 seconds to mine and is faster to break with an axe.
• Autumn Grove Soil takes about 0.6 seconds to mine and is faster to break with a shovel.
• Autumn Leaves take about 0.3 seconds to break.
• Autumn Shrub breaks very quickly, in about 0.1 seconds.
• Grove Pumpkin takes about 1 second to break and is faster to break with an axe.

The custom blocks drop themselves when broken, except for Autumn Leaves, which drop a Grove Pumpkin.

Abilities And Mechanics

Squirrel Behavior

Autumn Squirrels:

• Spawn in groups, generally ranging from 2 to 6.
• Can appear on Autumn Grove Soil, grass, or dirt in autumn grove areas.
• Can spawn at any brightness level.
• Avoid players, wolves, and hostile mobs.
• Panic and run quickly when threatened.
• Can climb.
• Avoid water, although they can path over it.
• May wander into nearby carrot crops.
• Can be leashed.
• Can be attached to a balloon.
• Despawn when too far away, like other distance-despawning animals.

Squirrels have 3 health points, so they are fragile animals.

Coat Variants

Squirrels can appear with six coat variants:

• Brown
• White
• Black
• Splotched
• Desert
• Salt

The spawn egg uses a brown-and-tan appearance, while individual squirrels may display different coats.

Feeding And Breeding

Squirrels are attracted to:

• Carrots
• Golden Carrots
• Dandelions

Hold one of these items to lead nearby squirrels. Feed the same items to two adult squirrels to breed them. Breeding produces a baby squirrel and grants experience.

Baby squirrels follow their parents and grow into adults after about 60 seconds. Feeding them the accepted foods can help them grow sooner.

Drops

Adult squirrels can drop Sweet Berries when they die. A player-killed squirrel also has a small chance to provide an additional berry drop, with Looting improving that chance.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no custom recipes in Autumn Pumpkin Grove.

Obtain the content by:

• Selecting the blocks from the Nature section of the Creative inventory.
• Selecting the Autumn Squirrel Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory.
• Using the IDs in the Quickstart commands.
• Finding squirrels naturally in autumn grove areas.

Autumn Leaves are especially useful when decorating: breaking them provides Grove Pumpkins, while the other decorative blocks drop themselves.

Progression And Strategy

Autumn Pumpkin Grove has no equipment tiers, quests, or progression system. Its main gameplay loop is creating and populating a seasonal grove.

For a natural-looking build:

1. Lay down irregular patches of Autumn Grove Soil.
2. Build trunks and branches from Autumn Logs.
3. Form broad canopies with Autumn Leaves.
4. Place Grove Pumpkins beneath the trees.
5. Add Autumn Shrubs along the edges and around paths.
6. Place several squirrels so they can roam in groups.
7. Use carrots or dandelions to draw squirrels toward gardens, while keeping hostile mobs away from the area.

Use fences, leashes, or enclosed gardens if you want to keep squirrels close, since they are naturally timid and may flee when approached.
