    Description:

Step into the Embershade Forest, a shadowed foggy overworld biome of lava rivers, glowing emberwood, and magma seas, where rare Phoenix Flowers and Ember grass tempt you deeper into hunting Mini Blazes, Mini Breezes, Yellow Silverfish, Burning Wolves, and the elusive Fyr’achnid.

    Mod Wiki

    Embershade Forest

    Quickstart

    1. Use /locate biome embershade (or look for a dark, smoldering forest) to find the Embershade biome.
    2. Prepare fire-resistant gear before entering — lava rivers replace water throughout the biome.
    3. Collect Emberwood Logs and Charred Ember Soil by breaking the trees and ground around you; both drop themselves.
    4. Watch for Mini Blaze and Mini Breeze mobs that spawn on the forest floor, and keep your distance from the rare Fyr'achnid.
    5. Tame a Burning Wolf with a bone to gain a loyal fiery companion.

    Overview

Embershade Forest is a custom overworld biome that replaces the familiar green landscape with a dark, perpetually smoldering woodland. Lava flows where rivers once ran, magma blocks carpet the seafloor, and the trees never burn down — they simply glow. The biome brings its own blocks, plants, and a cast of unique creatures found nowhere else in the world. Every encounter and material is local to the Embershade, so you can explore it as an isolated challenge or a source of unusual building materials.

    What It Adds

    Blocks & Flora

    NameDescription
Charred Ember SoilThe biome's ground layer; warm, dark, and mineable like dirt. Drops itself.
Emberwood LogThe trunk of the Emberwood tree. Glows without burning. Drops itself.
Emberflame LeavesThe canopy of Emberwood trees; fiery-tinted foliage. Drops itself.
FlamegrassShort decorative ground cover spread across the biome floor.
Phoenix FlowerA vivid, rare flower growing amid the embers.

Scattered across the surface you'll also find irregular patches of mixed coal and magma blocks — natural hotspots that serve as both visual landmarks and a source of raw materials for builds, arenas, or defensive structures.

    Mobs

    MobTypeNotes
Burning WolfPassive / TameableSpawns in small groups (1–2). Rare spawn weight.
Mini BlazeHostileCompact blaze that fires small fireballs in bursts of 3. 10 HP. Drops blaze rods.
Mini BreezeHostileCompact breeze that launches wind-charge projectiles. 10 HP. Drops blaze rods. Heals slightly when hit by projectiles.
Yellow SilverfishHostileInfests Emberwood trees; ambushes anything that gets close. Fully fire- and lava-immune.
Fyr'achnidHostile (Very Rare)Oversized spider-like monster. Fires small fireballs at range, leaps in melee. 32 HP. Drops string and spider eyes. Can spawn carrying a skeleton rider.

All five mobs are exclusive to the Embershade biome and will not wander outside it.

    How To Use

    Finding the Biome

The Embershade does not replace your entire world — it generates as a distinct biome patch. Use the command:

    /locate biome embershade

Follow the coordinates to reach it. From the surface you'll recognize it immediately by the dark smoldering trees, lava channels, and glowing ground.

    Gathering Materials

All blocks in the biome — Charred Ember Soil, Emberwood Logs, Emberflame Leaves, Flamegrass, and Phoenix Flowers — drop themselves when broken, so any tool (or your hand) works. Coal and magma surface patches provide extra resources on-site.

    Surviving the Biome

    • Lava navigation — Lava replaces water. Bring fire resistance potions, frost walker boots, or bridge over channels carefully.
    • Mini Blaze & Mini Breeze — Both attack at range (8 blocks). They spawn on the ground in pairs and react immediately when hurt. Close the distance quickly or use a bow.
    • Yellow Silverfish — These lurk on Emberwood logs and leaves, attacking anything that wanders within roughly one block. They don't alert others of the same kind, so fights stay small — but they can target other mobs too, causing chaos.
    • Fyr'achnid — Extremely rare (only one can be present at a time on the surface). It shoots fireballs from up to 18 blocks away and leaps at targets in melee. Prioritize this threat if you spot it.

    Crafting And Obtaining

There are no custom crafting recipes in this mod. All blocks and plants are obtained by harvesting them directly in the Embershade biome. Mob drops are collected by defeating enemies in the field.

    Abilities And Mechanics

    Burning Wolf

    • Taming: Feed a wild Burning Wolf a bone. Each attempt has roughly a 1-in-3 chance of success.
    • Breeding: Two tamed, fully healed Burning Wolves can be bred with any meat (chicken, beef, mutton, pork, rabbit, or rotten flesh).
    • Pups: Baby wolves take about one in-game minute to grow up and can be fed meat to accelerate growth.
    • Combat: Wild wolves will attack skeletons, sheep, rabbits, and foxes on sight. Tamed wolves defend you automatically.

    Mini Blaze

    • Fires 3 small fireballs per burst, with a short reload between attacks.
    • Immune to fire. Hurt by water contact.
    • Does not take fall damage.

    Mini Breeze

    • Fires wind-charge projectiles that knock targets back.
    • Has a passive projectile resistance: taking a hit from a ranged attack actually restores half the damage as health, making it harder to chip down at distance.
    • Does not take fall damage.

    Yellow Silverfish

    • Spawns directly on Emberwood Logs and Emberflame Leaves and actively infests the tree canopy via a periodic spawning system.
    • Attacks players, animals, monsters, villagers, and golems indiscriminately — anything within roughly 1.35 blocks.
    • Completely immune to fire, fire ticks, and lava damage.

    Fyr'achnid

    • Scales to twice normal spider size and has 32 HP.
    • Shoots small fireballs with a 3–6 second cooldown from up to 18 blocks away.
    • Leaps at targets in melee.
    • Can spawn with a skeleton rider (including strays, bogged, or wither skeletons), making the encounter significantly more dangerous.
    • Only one Fyr'achnid can be present on the surface at any time.
    • Drops 0–2 string and (when killed by a player) 0–1 spider eye. Killing it yields 10 XP.

    Progression And Strategy

Early visit: Come prepared with at least iron-tier gear, a fire resistance potion, and a bow. The Mini Blaze and Mini Breeze are your most common threats; keep them at range where possible — but remember the Mini Breeze heals from projectiles, so switching to melee against it is effective.

Taming a Burning Wolf is a strong early goal. A tamed wolf gives you an active combat ally that naturally hunts skeletons, helping offset the danger of any Fyr'achnid jockeys you encounter.

Resource gathering is safe between mob spawns. Harvest Emberwood Logs, Charred Ember Soil, and Phoenix Flowers freely — all of these are distinctive building materials unavailable elsewhere and make excellent bases, arenas, and decorative structures.

Advanced challenge: Build a small arena in the biome using magma and coal surface patches as a floor, then use /locate biome embershade to return repeatedly for combat challenges. The Fyr'achnid's hard population cap of one means you can always reset the encounter by defeating it and waiting for the next spawn.

Meet your newest feather companion, the Forest Falcon! Falcons can be found rarely in oak and birch forests. They are neutral mobs but will attack if attacked first, dealing one damage but also inflicting weakness on their foes. To tame a falcon you can use any type of seed. Tamed falcons will be your best friend, and will even bring you a gift once every Minecraft day! The falcon is highly aggressive towards fish, so probably don’t show it your aquarium.

Burstfire Uzi — an unbreakable rapid-fire hitscan laser weapon that fires short bursts using arrows from your inventory as ammo; right-click to fire with no charging and full movement while shooting. Each burst consumes the first arrow immediately to start the burst, then follows the usual burst cadence applying instant laser damage to the first entity or block in your line of sight (lasers stop at blocks and have a set range), with muzzle flash, beam trail, and impact particles; bursts end early if you run out of arrows and the firing sound only plays when a burst can start.

Iron Laser Revolver is a heavy iron sidearm that fires damaging laser beams using arrows as ammo; right-click to fire a single shot (each shot consumes one arrow directly from your inventory) and it keeps its custom firing and equip sounds with no HUD or reload prompts. Shots trace from your head along your exact view direction, spawn laser particles, stop at the first solid block, and now use a tighter multi-ray beam with denser body sampling so hits more reliably connect with the nearest valid living target and apply damage and knockback. Crouch (sneak) and right-click to trigger a very fast 6-shot burst that consumes an arrow per shot, after which the revolver is locked from firing for 10 seconds.

Nexus Horizon is a placeable multiblock launch console—interact with any part to open its GUI, enter world coordinates, choose a size (small, medium, large, catastrophic) and press Launch; the console has a 15-second cooldown. Activating triggers an epic animated sequence with rotating lightning, spark and flame rings, vertical pulse columns and inward spiral particles — now enhanced with bright vertical columns that orbit the target and trail inward during the contracting beam phase — plays dramatic launch audio and broadcasts "void nexus sequence launched", then spawns contracting concentric beams and lightning that culminate in a 7-second black hole which pulls in and heavily damages entities, creates layered explosions and wither effects, destroys blocks inside the chosen radius and converts the ring just outside the radius to obsidian while skipping non-solid spaces. For reliability at long distances and huge radii, the launch temporarily creates safe ticking-area segments covering the target zone (radius plus 5 blocks, split into manageable rectangles) so the sequence runs consistently, and those temporary ticking areas are automatically removed when the effect finishes.

The Lavaxolotl is a hardy, fire-loving axolotl that swims comfortably in lava, has high health and is completely immune to damage, can be tamed with a bucket of cod and bred like normal axolotls, uses custom feeding and attack sounds, and unleashes a powerful fire attack that sets other mobs burning for 20 seconds. This update makes them far more common and easier to find: they now spawn reliably in rivers, shallow overworld water and lava pools in larger groups across biomes, and they move much faster on land so you’ll encounter them more often along shores.
