Acacia Mane Ravager

Quickstart

1. Open your inventory and navigate to the Spawn Eggs creative tab to find the Acacia Mane Ravager spawn egg — it has a distinctive savanna-inspired lion texture with warm earthy colours.
2. Use the spawn egg to place an Acacia Mane Ravager in the world, or simply explore a Savanna, Savanna Plateau, or Windswept Savanna biome and you'll encounter them spawning naturally.
3. Approach carefully — the mob is neutral until struck. Hit it once and it will immediately target you and leap straight at you, so be ready to dodge or fight back.

Overview

The Acacia Mane Ravager is a lion-like predator built on the ravager's powerful frame, but tuned to feel more at home on the open savanna. It is slightly smaller and noticeably quicker than a standard ravager, with a distinctive mane and a custom lion-textured appearance. While it won't charge you unprovoked, striking one triggers an aggressive retaliation — it locks onto its attacker and closes the gap with a pouncing leap before delivering a heavy melee hit.

Abilities And Mechanics

Behaviour at a glance:

• Neutral by default — the Acacia Mane Ravager ignores players and mobs unless attacked.
• Retaliation targeting — the moment it takes damage from any source, it locks onto the attacker.
• Pounce attack — once it has a target, it uses a leaping pounce to rapidly close distance before striking. The leap is its primary approach tactic, making it dangerous at both short and medium range.
• The mob inherits base ravager behaviours (powerful melee, resistance to knockback) on top of its new pounce mechanics.

Progression And Strategy

Encounter tips:

• Don't hit it unless you're ready. A single strike will trigger the full pounce-and-retaliate loop. Make sure you have room to manoeuvre before engaging.
• Use ranged weapons carefully. Arrows will provoke it just as melee will. Line up your shots from high ground or behind cover where its leap can't easily reach you.
• Watch for the leap. The pounce covers ground quickly — back away as it winds up and time a sword swing or shield block as it lands.
• Pack encounters are possible. The mob spawns in groups of 1–3, so you may face multiple Acacia Mane Ravagers at once. Prioritise the closest one and avoid being flanked.
• With 60 health and 10 attack damage, a fully armoured player can trade blows, but fighting multiple at once in open savanna terrain is risky. Terrain advantages (ledges, trees, walls) are your best friend.
