Speedghost Instinct Boots

Quickstart

1. Craft the Speedghost Instinct Boots at a crafting table (see recipe below).
2. Equip them in your feet armor slot.
3. Jump normally to move around — then press Jump again at any time (on the ground or in the air) to trigger a wind-burst leap that rockets you upward and forward in the direction you are looking.
4. That's it! Watch for the wind particle burst and listen for the launch sound to confirm the leap fired.

Overview

Speedghost Instinct Boots are rare, blue winged boots that grant an on-demand double-jump. Every leap is deliberate — the boost only fires when you press the jump button, never from falling, knockback, or taking damage. They also provide complete fall damage immunity and have extremely high durability, making them a reliable long-term mobility tool.

Abilities And Mechanics

Double-Jump Leap

• Press Jump at any moment — while standing, walking, or already airborne — to launch yourself upward and forward.
• The forward thrust is based on your horizontal look direction, so aim where you want to go before pressing jump.
• The leap produces a wind-burst particle effect and a distinctive sound at your location.

Intentional Activation Only

• The boost only fires on a fresh, deliberate jump-button press. Simply falling or being knocked into the air will never accidentally trigger it.
• If you take damage, the leap is briefly suppressed for a short window after the hit, preventing knockback or attacks from launching you.

Cooldown

• After each leap there is a short cooldown before you can leap again. You will need to wait it out before the next boost fires.

Fall Damage Immunity

• The boots fully absorb all fall damage while equipped — leap freely without worrying about landing.

Durability

• Each leap consumes a small amount of durability.
• Repair the boots at an anvil using Feathers.
• The boots can also be enchanted like normal armor boots (enchantability 15, feet slot enchants).

Craft the boots at a crafting table using the recipe above. Key materials needed:

• Elytra — core of the wing mechanism
• Nether Star — powers the leap
• Phantom Membranes — provide the aerial binding
• Diamond Boots — the boot base
• Diamonds — structural reinforcement
• Feathers — the wing trim (also used for repairs)

Progression And Strategy

• Exploration: Use the double-jump to clear large gaps, scale cliffs, and reach structures that are otherwise inaccessible without flight.
• Combat mobility: The boost lets you reposition quickly in a fight — look toward an escape route or high ground and press jump to burst away. Remember that taking a hit briefly locks out the leap, so time your escape before the attack lands when possible.
• Chaining movement: Combine a running start with the leap for maximum horizontal distance. Your look angle directly controls forward thrust, so looking more horizontally (rather than straight up) gives a flatter, farther arc.
• Repairs: Keep Feathers in your inventory for quick anvil repairs during long expeditions. The high durability pool means you can leap hundreds of times before needing a repair.
