Webbound Hero

Quickstart

1. Gather iron ingots, red dye, spider eyes, and string.
2. Craft the Spider Emblem at a crafting table:

1. Keep the Spider Emblem in your hotbar and use it to open the WEBBOUND HERO menu.
2. Select Activate Spider Suit.
3. Craft a Web Shooter:

1. Hold the Web Shooter, look at a solid block, and use it to launch yourself toward that block.
2. Explore, fight nearby glowing hostile mobs, and use slow falling and web swings to move safely through the world.

Overview

Webbound Hero gives you a spider-themed hero mode with enhanced movement, combat strength, safe landings, hostile-mob detection, and web-swinging mobility.

The mod adds two equipment items:

• Spider Emblem — opens the hero menu and activates or deactivates the Spider Suit.
• Web Shooter — pulls you toward the block you are looking at while hero mode is active.

What It Adds

Spider Emblem

Use the Spider Emblem to open the hero menu. From there, you can:

• Activate Spider Suit mode.
• Deactivate Spider Suit mode.
• View web-swing instructions.
• Check whether the suit is active or inactive.

The emblem is a single-stack equipment item.

Web Shooter

Use the Web Shooter while looking at a solid block to create a web anchor and launch toward it. The shooter can reach blocks up to 32 blocks away and has a short cooldown between swings.

The Web Shooter is a single-stack, hand-equipped item.

How To Use

Activating Hero Mode

1. Select the Spider Emblem.
2. Use the item to open the WEBBOUND HERO menu.
3. Choose Activate Spider Suit.

The menu displays an active suit status when hero mode is enabled.

Web Swinging

1. Activate the Spider Suit.
2. Hold the Web Shooter.
3. Aim at a solid block within range.
4. Use the Web Shooter.

You will be pulled toward the targeted block and launched upward as needed. Aim at walls, rooftops, cliffs, and other solid surfaces to travel quickly through difficult terrain.

Using the Web Shooter without activating the Spider Emblem first displays a reminder to activate hero mode.

Deactivating Hero Mode

Use the Spider Emblem again and choose Deactivate Spider Suit. This removes the hero abilities and returns you to normal movement and combat behavior.

Crafting And Obtaining

Both items are crafted at a crafting table.

Spider Emblem

The Spider Emblem requires iron ingots, red dye, and a spider eye.

Web Shooter

The Web Shooter requires string, iron ingots, and red dye.

Abilities And Mechanics

While the Spider Suit is active, you receive:

• Speed II for faster movement.
• Strength II for stronger attacks.
• Jump Boost II for improved jumps.
• Slow Falling for controlled descents.
• Fall-damage immunity.
• Hostile-mob highlighting within 36 blocks.

Nearby hostile mobs glow while you are in hero mode, making enemies easier to locate in caves, at night, and around structures. The highlighting has no visible particles, so look for the glowing outline.

Hero abilities are continuously maintained while the suit is active. Deactivating the suit removes its movement, combat, jumping, and falling effects.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft the Spider Emblem first so you can activate the suit.
• Craft the Web Shooter as soon as you have string for faster exploration.
• Use rooftops and cliff faces as web anchors to gain height and cross gaps.
• Aim above your destination when you need extra upward momentum.
• Use Slow Falling to scout from high places and reduce the danger of long drops.
• Watch for glowing hostile mobs within 36 blocks before entering caves or unfamiliar areas.
• Keep the Spider Emblem available so you can quickly deactivate the suit when you want to return to normal gameplay.
