Quickstart

1. Craft the Voidstorm Plasma Cannon using the recipe below and add it to your hotbar.
2. Stock your inventory with Amethyst Shards — each shot consumes one.
3. Hold the cannon in your hand and right-click to fire a plasma orb at whatever you want to obliterate.
4. Watch the orb drift forward, slam into a surface, and suck everything nearby into a swirling vortex before detonating in a massive explosion.

Overview

The Voidstorm Plasma Cannon is a devastating handheld energy weapon that fires slow-moving plasma orbs. On impact, each orb anchors in place, creates a 5-second gravitational vortex that pulls in mobs and blocks from up to 15 blocks away, and then erupts in a catastrophic explosion. It is found in the Combat creative tab and behaves as a weapon item you hold and aim in first or third person.

How To Use

• Equip the cannon in any hotbar slot.
• Right-click to fire. A charge sound plays when the shot goes off.
• In Survival or Adventure mode, one Amethyst Shard is consumed per shot. Make sure you have at least one in your inventory or the cannon will not fire.
• In Creative mode, no ammo is required.
• After firing, a 5-second cooldown (100 ticks) must elapse before you can fire again. The standard item cooldown indicator appears on the hotbar icon.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Plasma Orb

• Travels in a straight line with no gravity — it flies level with your aim until it hits something.
• On impact it anchors at the hit location and stops moving.

Vortex Phase (5 seconds)

• Once anchored, the orb generates a gravitational vortex for 5 seconds.
• All entities within a 15-block radius are continuously pulled toward the orb's position.
• Blocks within the same radius are ripped out of the world and collected into the vortex, leaving craters in the terrain. Bedrock is immune.
• Purple portal-like particles swirl around the orb during this phase.

Detonation

• After the 5-second vortex, the orb explodes.
• Nearby entities take massive damage and are flung outward from the blast.
• All blocks that were absorbed during the vortex phase are hurled outward as flying debris, scattering across the landscape.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe unlocks automatically when you join a world. Craft it with End Crystals, Dragon's Breath, Nether Stars, and Obsidian — all late-game materials reflecting its destructive power.

Progression And Strategy

• Ammo management: Amethyst Shards are relatively easy to farm from amethyst geodes, so keeping a stack in your inventory ensures you are never caught unloaded.
• Cooldown awareness: The 5-second cooldown matches the vortex duration exactly — by the time one orb detonates, you are nearly ready to fire again.
• Positioning: Fire from a safe distance. The 15-block vortex radius and outward explosion fling can affect you if you are too close when the orb detonates.
• Terrain denial: The block-sucking vortex can hollow out large areas of terrain, making the cannon useful for rapid excavation as well as combat.
• Late-game weapon: The recipe requires Nether Stars and End Crystals, placing this firmly in post-Ender Dragon content. Treat it as an endgame tool for crowd control and large-scale destruction.
