Voidstep Blade

Quickstart

1. Gather 2 Crying Obsidian, 3 Ender Pearls, 1 Nether Star, and 1 Stick.
2. Craft the Voidstep Blade at a crafting table:

1. Hold the blade and use/interact with it to teleport 12 blocks in the direction you are looking.
2. Use it as a sword in melee combat. The teleport ability has a 2-second cooldown, so wait briefly between jumps.

What It Adds

• Voidstep Blade
  • Melee damage: 100
  • Durability: 4,096
  • Maximum stack size: 1
  • Sword enchantment type
  • Epic rarity

How To Use

Teleporting

Hold the Voidstep Blade in your hand and use it. You will teleport 12 blocks forward based on your current view direction.

• The teleport works horizontally or vertically according to where you are looking.
• You remain in the same dimension.
• Your view continues facing the direction of travel.
• Your velocity is cleared when the teleport occurs.
• The ability can be used once every 40 game ticks, or approximately 2 seconds.
• Using the blade during its cooldown has no effect.

Melee Combat

Attack normally while holding the blade to use its sword damage. Its high damage makes it effective against tough enemies and useful for quickly closing gaps before or after teleporting.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Voidstep Blade at a crafting table using:

• 2 Crying Obsidian
• 3 Ender Pearls
• 1 Nether Star
• 1 Stick

In Creative mode, look for it in the Equipment category.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Voidstep Blade’s teleport destination is calculated from your exact line of sight. Looking upward or downward changes the destination accordingly, allowing you to reach elevated or lower positions.

The ability does not move you between dimensions, and it does not trigger repeatedly while on cooldown. Keep the blade selected when you need to use the teleport.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the blade to cross gaps, escape enemies, or reach difficult terrain.
• Look slightly upward to gain height during a jump or ascent.
• Aim carefully before teleporting near cliffs, lava, or hostile mobs.
• Combine a teleport with a melee attack to engage enemies quickly.
• Save repeated uses for emergencies, since each teleport requires a short cooldown.
