Verdant Creeper Citadel

Quickstart

1. Craft a Citadel Key at a crafting table from an ender pearl, amethyst shard, and emerald:

1. Use the key and select Enter Verdant Citadel to travel to the dimension. Use it again there and choose Return home when you’re ready to leave.
2. Explore the purple landscape and its giant towers. Watch for green-clouded Citadel Charged Creepers and huge Verdant Colossi—both are hostile.

In Creative mode, you can also try the Citadel Charged Creeper and Verdant Colossus spawn eggs.

Overview

The Verdant Citadel is a separate dimension of rolling violet terrain, distinctive shorelines, and scattered towers. Green clouds drift around its charged creepers, while gigantic green colossi roam nearby. The key provides travel in both directions.

What It Adds

• Verdant Citadel dimension: Violet Wastes terrain built from Citadel Stone, Violet Soil, and Citadel Shore.
• Citadel towers: Large structures scattered across the landscape.
• Citadel Charged Creeper: A charged, explosive creeper with a green-cloud effect.
• Verdant Colossus: A giant, aggressive slime-like mob.
• Verdant Crystal: A bright block that emits light.
• Citadel Key and Verdant Core: Items used for travel and crafting.

How To Use

• Travel: Use the Citadel Key to open its travel menu. Choose Enter Verdant Citadel outside the dimension or Return home while inside.
• Explore: Look for towers as landmarks, and keep an eye out for mobs that appear around you as you explore.
• Place blocks: Verdant Crystal is a light source. Citadel Stone suits building, while Violet Soil and Citadel Shore are terrain blocks.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft a Citadel Key at a crafting table using an ender pearl, amethyst shard, and emerald, as shown in the Quickstart.

Defeat mobs to collect Verdant Cores: Citadel Charged Creepers have a chance to drop one, while Verdant Colossi drop one or two. Combine a core with stone at a crafting table to make four Verdant Crystals:

Mine Citadel Stone and Verdant Crystal with a pickaxe; use a shovel for Violet Soil and Citadel Shore.

Abilities And Mechanics

Citadel Charged Creepers swell and explode when they get close. Their blasts are powerful and can damage terrain when mob griefing is enabled. You can also use flint and steel on one to start its fuse yourself.

Verdant Colossi are large, jumping enemies that attack players at close range. They are tough, so keep your distance and avoid getting cornered.

Progression And Strategy

Bring weapons and supplies before using the key. Keep space between yourself and creepers, and use tower walls or other cover to avoid rushing into a blast. Colossi can close distance with jumps, so ranged attacks and open escape routes are useful. Collect Verdant Cores from defeated mobs to craft glowing Verdant Crystals.
