Quickstart

1. Craft the Trade Master Emerald using the recipe below (or simply wait — it's automatically added to your recipe book shortly after joining a world).
2. Keep it anywhere in your inventory — it does not need to be held or equipped.
3. Walk up to any villager and start trading. Every trade will cost 1 emeralds while the item is in your inventory.

Overview

Trade Master Emerald is a single glowing, enchanted-looking emerald that grants free villager trades to anyone carrying it. Once it's in your inventory, every villager offer becomes in 1 esmerald — no more hoarding emeralds to buy maps, enchanted books, or gear from your local trader.

What It Adds

• Trade Master Emerald — a stackable-by-one, glinting item that passively makes all villager trades 1 esmerald while carried.

How To Use

• Simply having the Trade Master Emerald anywhere in your inventory (not just your hotbar or hands) activates its effect.
• Open a trade menu with any villager as normal. The listed price for every offer is negated, so you can complete trades without spending any emeralds.
• The effect works on all villagers and all their trade offers, including offers with special or discounted pricing — the item overrides these to make them to 1 esmerald.
• Removing the emerald from your inventory disables the effect immediately; trades will return to their normal cost.

Abilities And Mechanics

• 1 Esmeralds Trading: While the item is anywhere in your inventory, all villager trade offers cost 1.
• Passive Effect: No activation is required — it works automatically as long as it's carried.
• Non-Stacking Item: Only one Trade Master Emerald is needed at a time; it does not stack with itself.
• Piglin Appeal: Piglins recognize it as valuable, so be cautious around them while carrying it.

Progression And Strategy

Craft one early and keep it in a storage chest or your inventory whenever you plan to visit a village. This turns villagers into a limitless source of enchanted books, maps, gear, and other trade goods without needing to farm or spend emeralds. Since it only needs to be carried (not equipped), you can stash it safely and only bring it out when you're ready to trade.
