Description
/give @s the-randomizer-3000-5dsss6dg:the_randomizer_3000_5dsss6dgEach successful upgrade consumes one shard and immediately updates the Randomizer’s upgrade level.
The Randomizer 3000 is a single-slot handheld that awards one completely random item from the game’s item registry. Vanilla items, rare items, normally unobtainable Survival items, and items from other installed mods can all appear.
Every roll includes:
Only one Randomizer can remain in your inventory. If extra copies are somehow obtained, additional copies are converted into random items.
Hold the Randomizer in either hand and right-click.
The normal cooldown is five minutes. The cooldown starts when the roll begins, but the five-second animation must still finish before another roll can be started.
You cannot start another roll while the current animation or final reveal is active.
Creative players bypass the cooldown, but must still wait for the roll animation and reveal to finish before starting another roll.
The Randomizer selects from every registered item, including items supplied by other mods. Most rewards begin as a single item. Stackable rewards can be increased by Dupe and Dice upgrades.
Some rewards may be items that cannot normally be obtained in Survival, such as command blocks, barriers, spawners, or spawn eggs.
The Randomizer 3000 and its shards have no crafting recipes.
| Content | How to find it |
|---|---|
| The Randomizer 3000 | A rare drop from breaking any block or killing a mob caused by a player. The device only rolls as a drop if you do not already have one. |
| Randomizer shards | Rare random shard drops from blocks, player-caused mob kills, and generated chest loot. |
| Shard type | Block, mob, and chest shard drops randomly select one of the six shard types. |

|---|---|---|
| Swift Shard | 10 | Reduces cooldown by 24 seconds and roll time by 0.4 seconds per shard. |
| Dupe Shard | 5 | Adds one duplicate to each stackable reward per shard. |
| Enchant Shard | 1 | Gives each regular reward a 5% chance to become a randomly enchanted book. |
| Slot Shard | 2 | Adds one extra reward slot per shard, up to three regular reward slots total. |
| Chest Shard | 1 | Gives each roll a 2.5% chance to award a Loot Barrel instead of the normal reward slots. |
| Dice Shard | 1 | Rolls a six-sided die after the normal reveal to determine extra copies. |
Shards can be inserted directly from an inventory screen:
Successful inserts play the bundle-insert sound and show the new level in the action bar. An upgrade that has reached its maximum is blocked and does not consume a shard.
A grindstone can remove all shard upgrades from a Randomizer, returning it to an unupgraded device.
The normal Randomizer has these limits:
In the Randomizer One Block world preset, the base Survival cooldown is 30 seconds. Swift Shards can reduce it further, down to a minimum of one second in that preset.
Dupe Shards increase the stack size of stackable rewards. They do not change the number of separate copies of an unstackable item.
A Dice Shard rolls a number from 1 to 6 after the normal reward reveal:
If a Chest Shard produces a Loot Barrel, Dice upgrades can also increase the number of barrels awarded.
A Chest Shard can replace the normal roll with a Loot Barrel. The barrel is filled with loot from a randomly selected structure chest loot table.
Place the barrel and open it like a normal barrel. The barrel’s contents are generated when the reward is created.
Result sounds play when the final “YOU GOT:” reveal appears.
| Reward | Reveal sound |
|---|---|
| Enchanted book | Enchantment table sound |
| Loot Barrel | Noteblock didgeridoo |
| Item from another mod | Noteblock chime |
| Item normally unobtainable in Survival | Bell |
| Other rewards | Noteblock hi-hat |
When multiple final reward slots are shown, each slot plays its own reveal sound.
Randomizer One Block is an available world preset for a void-style challenge.
