    Description:

I know you are thinking "Didn't someone already make a mod like this?" and you would be right, there is a mod "like this", but that one lays down a flat area of grass blocks... and this one... Well, you know that little pink rectangle on the end of a pencil that you violently drag across paper when you've made a catastrophic mistake and just need it to not exist anymore? Someone made that (not trying to shine my own boots, but it was this guy right here... me in other words). Into a block. For Minecraft. And it works on reality itself. The Eraser is exactly what it sounds like and absolutely should not exist, and yet here we are. You place it down, it looks you dead in the eyes, and starts counting down from 10. Ten. Nine. Eight. Like a movie bomb, except instead of blowing things up it does something arguably more unhinged — it just deletes them. Peacefully. Efficiently. With zero remorse. What it actually DOES: Place it down facing whatever direction you want obliterated — the block sits at the back-center edge of the zone it's about to murder, like a polite little apocalypse that wants you to know exactly where ground zero is 10-second countdown begins immediately upon placement, giving you just enough time to either run, reconsider all your life choices, or stand there and watch like the chaotic gremlin you are At zero it nukes a 64 blocks wide, 32 blocks tall, 32 blocks deep volume of pure, raw, unfiltered nothing — every block in that zone replaced with air, gone, bye, it was never there To keep your game from having an existential crisis during the process, it sweeps through the volume in progressive layers over 3 seconds, rolling forward like a slow-motion wave of void that eats the world one slice at a time It's the "select all, delete" of Minecraft. It's ctrl+Z for people who hate what they built and refuse to mine it out block by boring block like some kind of peasant. Place it, walk away, let the countdown do its therapy. Whatever was there? Gone. Whatever you were building? Fresh start, baby. No questions asked, no survivors, no refunds. Use responsibly. Or don't. I'm a description, not a cop.

    The Eraser

    Quickstart

    1. Craft The Eraser block at a crafting table (recipe below).
    2. Stand facing the area you want to delete — direction matters!
    3. Place the block. You have 10 seconds before it fires.
    4. Step back. At zero, a 64×64×64 cube of terrain directly in front of you is wiped to air.
    5. Changed your mind? Break the block before the timer expires to cancel.

    Overview

The Eraser is a single placeable block that acts as a massive terrain-clearing charge. Place it, wait ten seconds, and watch a colossal 64×64×64 volume of blocks in front of you vanish. It is the ultimate creative-mode landscaping or reset tool — perfect for flattening land, clearing build spaces, or demolishing structures in bulk.

    What It Adds

    ItemDescription
The EraserA placeable block that counts down and clears a 64×64×64 area

The block emits a faint light (light level 7) and shows as a vivid red-orange on maps, making it easy to spot before it fires.

    How To Use

    Placing & Aiming

The Eraser uses the cardinal direction you are facing at the moment of placement to determine which way the cleared volume projects. Only horizontal facing (North / South / East / West) is used — vertical aim is ignored.

    • The block sits at the back-center edge of the cleared volume.
    • The 64×64×64 area extends entirely in front of the block, 64 blocks deep and 64 blocks wide (32 to each side) and 64 blocks tall starting at the block's Y level.

    Countdown

Immediately after placement, a red chat message confirms:

    [ERASER] Detonation in 10 seconds…

All online players see a server-wide message when the erasure fires:

    [ERASER] BOOM! Clearing 64×64×64 area…

    Cancelling

Break the block at any point during the 10-second countdown to abort. A yellow message confirms:

    [ERASER] Detonation cancelled.

    Progressive Clearing

To reduce lag, the 64 layers are cleared from the far end back toward the block over roughly 3 seconds rather than all at once.

    Mining time1.5 seconds by hand
Explosion resistanceNone — destroyed instantly by explosions

Drops itselfYes, when mined by a player

    Progression And Strategy

    • Aim carefully. Stand directly behind the area you want cleared and look straight at it before placing. The horizontal direction you face is locked in the instant the block is placed.
    • Back up. The block sits at the back edge of the cleared zone — if you are standing inside the future cleared area, you may fall or lose footing when the ground disappears.
    • Chain multiple Erasers in different directions to clear L-shapes or larger footprints, placing each while facing the correct direction.
    • The 10-second window gives you time to reposition for screenshots or to share the spectacle with other players before the terrain disappears.
    • Because the block has zero explosion resistance, nearby TNT or other blasts will destroy it and cancel the erasure — keep the area clear during the countdown if you want it to fire.
