Overview
The Diamond Rift Eagle is a diamond-bright gun-like weapon that creates a random rift effect whenever it is used. It does not require separate ammunition. Instead, every shot generates a TNT burst, a nuclear-scale blast, or a temporary black hole.
The rift forms just in front of the player rather than traveling like a conventional long-range bullet, so firing at close range is dangerous.
What It Adds
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Diamond Rift Eagle | A single-item weapon that stacks to 1 |
| Rift shots | Randomly produce one of four TNT-based effects |
| Melee attack | Deals 19 damage when used as a melee weapon |
| Durability | 512 durability |
| Reload time | About 0.6 seconds between shots |
| Visual feedback | Recoil animation, brief zoom effect, and RELOADING/READY action-bar messages |
How To Use
Hold the Diamond Rift Eagle in your hand and press the normal Use Item control. The weapon fires in the direction you are looking and immediately begins its short reload.
- Aim upward or away from yourself before firing.
- Do not stand near valuable builds, farms, or storage.
- Fire once, then retreat while the TNT spreads and detonates.
- The weapon can also be used for melee combat.
- The reload delay prevents shots from being fired continuously. The action bar displays when the weapon is ready again.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Diamond Rift Eagle is available in the Creative equipment inventory.
At a crafting table, it requires 2 Netherite Ingots, 1 Diamond, 2 Iron Ingots, 1 Gunpowder, 1 Redstone, and 1 Stick.

Abilities And Mechanics
Every shot randomly selects one of four outcomes:
| Rift effect | Result |
|---|---|
| Small TNT burst | Launches 2 TNT charges in a compact spread. |
| Large TNT burst | Launches 8 TNT charges in a wider spread. |
| Nuclear blast | Launches a dense cluster of 24 TNT charges, producing a delayed chain reaction and a large explosion effect. |
| Black-hole rift | Creates a smoky rift, launches 4 TNT charges, and pulls nearby entities toward its center. |
Black-Hole Rift
A black-hole rift lasts about 3 seconds. It affects entities within 9 blocks of its center and pulls them horizontally inward.
- Nearby mobs and other players can be dragged toward the rift.
- The player who fired the weapon is not pulled by their own black hole.
- TNT launched by the shot can still cause damage and destruction around the rift.
- Smoke particles and a portal-like sound mark the rift while it is active.
Progression And Strategy
- The recipe uses Netherite and Diamond, so the weapon is best treated as a high-cost destructive tool rather than an early-game weapon.
- Use it in open terrain, arenas, mining areas, or dedicated testing worlds.
- Fire from a safe distance whenever possible, then sprint, fly, or otherwise move away from the TNT.
- The nuclear blast creates the largest immediate danger because its dense TNT cluster can cause a chain reaction.
- A black-hole result is useful for gathering mobs or disrupting groups, but its pull can also drag entities into the surrounding explosions.
- Keep an eye on the weapon’s 512 durability during extended use.
- Since it is also a powerful melee weapon and uses sword enchantability, it can serve as both a close-combat weapon and a ranged demolition tool.
