Ten Minute Limbo

Quickstart

1. Play in Survival and die. Respawn as usual; you’ll then be sent to Limbo.
2. Check the action bar for your resurrection countdown. Explore, or simply wait.
3. When ten minutes have elapsed, you’ll return automatically to the place and dimension where you respawned.

If you’re an operator and want to visit without dying, run /com_ten_minute_limbo_qkedvyif:limbo. Run it again in Limbo to return.

Overview

Ten Minute Limbo makes death a ten-minute stay in a separate, eerie realm before you return to your respawn location. Limbo has its own terrain and wandering creatures, but the countdown—not a boss or task—determines when you leave.

What It Adds

Limbo’s regions include the Ashen Fields, Grey Wastes, Mournful Marsh, Ossuary Ridges, Sundered Dunes, and Drowned Quiet. Explore for features such as graves, ruins, skeletal snags, arches, and fallen belltowers.

Creatures found in Limbo include the Limbo Ghost, Ashbound Warden, Hollow Mourner, Rift Crawler, Limbo Wisp, Bone Ram, and Veilwalker. Creative mode also has spawn eggs for the Warden, Mourner, Crawler, Wisp, Ram, and Veilwalker.

How To Use

During the wait, you’re placed in Adventure mode. The action bar shows the remaining time as a countdown; when it runs out, your previous game mode is restored.

You can explore while you wait, but Limbo is not a combat challenge: entity damage is cancelled there. If you gain items while in Limbo, your carried inventory and equipment are cleared.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Bone Ram can charge at nearby targets. Feed adult Bone Rams wheat to breed them, or use a bucket on an adult to milk it.

Progression And Strategy

Use the wait to explore Limbo’s regions and landmarks, or stay near your arrival point and let the timer run down. The countdown advances while you are in Limbo and the world is running; time spent offline does not count.
