Summoning Altar of Life Essence

Quickstart

1. Craft the Summoning Table of Life Essence and place it — the full multiblock structure assembles automatically around it.
2. Right-click the altar to open the summoning GUI.
3. Browse the item list, left-click an item to load its recipe into the 3×3 crafting grid, then click Add Missing Ingredients and Craft to produce it using Life Essence.
4. Right-click an item in the list to queue it for direct summoning; click Summon to spend Life Essence and receive it. Shift-click Summon for a full stack.
5. To charge up the altar with Life Essence, right-click fresh plant/animal parts, dirt variants, redstone, or redstone blocks directly onto the altar top — they are consumed and their essence is stored.

Overview

The Summoning Altar of Life Essence is a dark ritual multiblock structure featuring a pixel pentagram and corner braziers. It acts as a supernatural crafting and summoning station: feed it sacrificial materials to build up stored Life Essence, then spend that essence to summon virtually any item or to pay for crafting ingredients you don't have in your inventory.

Alongside the altar, the mod adds the Life Essence Extractor — a furnace-like machine that burns blaze powder to distill raw materials into liquid Life Essence, filling a cauldron below. That liquid can then be used to create Charged Life Essence Crystals, powerful consumables made by dipping amethyst shards or quartz into a filled cauldron.

How To Use

The Summoning Altar

Place the Summoning Table of Life Essence and the entire multiblock structure (4×4×4 footprint with braziers) assembles around it automatically. Right-click any part of the structure to open the GUI.

Summoning GUI controls:

• Search bar — filter the item list by name or ID.
• Left-click an item in the list — loads its vanilla crafting recipe into the 3×3 grid preview.
• Add Missing Ingredients — pays Life Essence to fill any grid slots your inventory is missing.
• Craft — executes the recipe, consuming items from your inventory (and any essence-paid slots).
• Right-click an item in the list — queues it for direct summoning; repeat clicks increase the queued count. Shift + right-click queues a full stack.
• Summon — spends Life Essence to produce the queued amount. Shift-click summons a full stack at once. Batch summons validate and charge the full cost at once.
• Clear — resets the crafting grid.

Feeding the Altar (Sacrifice Grid)

Right-click eligible items directly onto the altar's top surface to place them into its 3×3 sacrifice grid. Eligible materials include:

• Fresh plant and animal parts
• All dirt variants
• Redstone and redstone blocks

Items are consumed on contact and their Life Essence is stored in the altar. Visible item displays appear on the altar surface and are removed automatically when that stored essence is spent.

The Life Essence Extractor

Place the Life Essence Extractor and right-click it to open its furnace-style panel.

1. Hold an eligible input item and click Load Held Input to place it in the input slot.
2. Hold blaze powder and click Load Blaze Fuel to add fuel.
3. Click Extract to begin processing — liquid Life Essence pours into a cauldron placed directly beneath the extractor.

The extractor fills vanilla cauldrons as tracked Life Essence layers (up to 3). The Life Essence Cauldron block works the same way and visually displays its fill level.

Charging Crystals

Once a cauldron beneath the extractor has at least one layer of Life Essence:

1. Hold an amethyst shard or quartz in your main hand.
2. Right-click the filled cauldron.
3. One layer of essence is consumed and you receive a Charged Life Essence Crystal.

A chime sound and enchantment particles play on success. The cauldron emits crimson spore particles while it contains essence.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Sacrifice redstone dust and dirt to the altar to build up a small essence reserve, then use the GUI to summon crafting materials you need.
• Mid game: Build the Life Essence Extractor to generate essence more efficiently from bulk inputs rather than hand-placing sacrifices.
• Advanced: Stock up on Charged Life Essence Crystals by processing materials through the extractor and charging crystals in batches. Use the altar's batch summon (Shift-click Summon) to produce large quantities of items in one operation, paying the full cost up front.
• The altar's Add Missing Ingredients button is a powerful shortcut — it lets you craft recipes even when your inventory is incomplete, spending stored essence to cover the gap.
