Skybolt Mech Armor

Quickstart

1. Craft the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots below, then equip all four pieces.
2. In Survival, double-tap Jump to start flying, then use your usual flight controls.
3. Aim at a target and press Left Shift to fire the laser. Press Right Shift to launch a missile.
4. If either ability key conflicts with your controls, change it under Options → Controls → Skybolt Mech Armor.

Both weapons require the complete armor set. Their default keys can also overlap with normal flight controls, so rebinding them may help.

Overview

Skybolt Mech Armor is a four-piece protective set with flight and two ranged attacks. Wearing the full set grants flight in Survival and enables the laser and missile. No ammunition is needed.

Craft each piece in a crafting table. The recipes are available in the Combat section of the Creative inventory as well.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Flight: The complete set grants flight in Survival. Removing any piece disables the set’s flight.
• Laser — Left Shift: Fires in the direction you are looking, up to 36 blocks. It hits the first living target in its path for 8 damage, or stops at a block. It has a 1-second cooldown.
• Missile — Right Shift: Launches in the direction you are looking. It detonates when it hits a living target or block; the blast does not break terrain. It has a 1.5-second cooldown.

Progression And Strategy

Craft all four pieces before heading into the air: wearing only part of the set does not enable flight or either weapon. Use the laser for a quick, aimed shot; missiles are useful against targets near a surface or clustered together. Rebind the default Shift keys if they interfere with your flight controls.
