    Description:

Sengoku Clan Wars brings the chaotic Sengoku period to Minecraft: pick one of six clans (Takeda, Hojo, Imagawa, Date, Oda, Mouri), claim territory, and erect or spawn samurai‑garrisoned Japanese‑style castles using /sengoku castle <clan> <name>. Each fortress includes outer stone walls, a dry moat, gatehouse and yagura towers, a multi‑tier tenshu, lantern details and a clan sashimono; castles also generate naturally near active players with city‑style names and named samurai garrisons. Use /sengoku status to view ownership and /sengoku attack <fromCastle> <toCastle> to launch sieges that resolve to elimination (defenders get no reinforcements while under active siege), and when a castle falls its ownership updates and every wool block inside the castle footprint—including the main sashimono marker—is automatically recolored to the new owner’s clan wool color. The mod’s castle spawning and background AI have been optimized to avoid UI/chat stalls and smooth out periodic server ticks, so castles still spawn and fight as before but no longer cause lag when opening the chat menu.

    Sengoku Clan Wars

    Quickstart

    1. Join a world with the mod installed.
    2. Pick a clan and build your first castle at your current position: /sengoku castle Oda MyFortress
    3. You'll be moved to the castle exit and a garrison of samurai will spawn inside automatically.
    4. Check the map's power balance with /sengoku status.
    5. Declare war on a neighboring castle: /sengoku attack MyFortress EnemyCastle
    6. Watch the battle play out — the server announces the result in chat.

    Overview

Sengoku Clan Wars plunges your Minecraft world into the feudal chaos of Japan's Sengoku period. Six rival clans compete for territory by building and capturing castles, each garrisoned by samurai warriors. Fortresses spring up naturally near active players and fight one another automatically, while you direct sieges with simple commands. When a castle changes hands, its colors change to match its new lord — there's no neutral ground.

    What It Adds

    The Six Clans

    ClanColor
    TakedaCrimson Red
    HojoSteel Blue
    ImagawaPurple
    DateGold
    OdaNear-Black
    MouriForest Green

Each clan's castles display that clan's color on all wool blocks and the sashimono (clan banner) inside the fortress.

    Castles

Every castle is a fully built Japanese-style fortress containing:

    • Outer stone walls and a dry moat
    • A gatehouse and yagura (corner/watch towers)
    • A multi-tier tenshu (main keep)
    • Lantern decorations throughout
    • A clan sashimono (banner marker) identifying ownership

Castles can be built by player command or generated naturally near active players, using Japanese city-style names (Kyoto, Edo, Osaka, Himeji, etc.).

    Samurai Garrisons

Each castle starts with 6 samurai. Garrisons are persistent named mobs that defend their home castle and engage enemies. If defenders drop below 3, reinforcements spawn automatically — except while the castle is under active siege.

    How To Use

    Commands

    CommandWhat It Does
/sengoku castle <clan> <name>Builds a castle for the chosen clan centered on your position and moves you to the exit.
/sengoku statusLists all known castles, their current owners, and their coordinates.
/sengoku attack <fromCastle> <toCastle>Launches a siege from one castle against another.

Clan names accepted: Takeda, Hojo, Imagawa, Date, Oda, Mouri (also accepts Mori as an alias for Mouri).

Castle names are single words and are case-insensitive when used in commands.

    Abilities And Mechanics

    Sieges

    • Use /sengoku attack <fromCastle> <toCastle> to declare war between two castles.
    • The attacking clan's samurai march on the defending castle.
    • Defenders receive no reinforcements while the siege is active.
    • The siege ends in one of two ways:
      • Attacker wins — all defenders are eliminated. Ownership transfers to the attacking clan, and every wool block in the castle (including the sashimono) is recolored to the new clan's color. A server-wide broadcast announces the capture.
      • Defender wins — all attackers are driven off. The castle remains under its current owner and a broadcast announces the failed siege.

    Natural Castle Generation

The server periodically checks for active players and may generate a new clan castle nearby, complete with a city-style name and a full garrison. This means your world will fill with competing fortresses over time even without player commands.

    Wool Recoloring on Conquest

When a castle falls, every wool block within the castle footprint — walls, decorations, and the main sashimono — is automatically replaced with the new owner's clan wool color. This makes clan ownership visually obvious at a glance.

    Progression And Strategy

    • Scout with /sengoku status before launching an attack — it shows every castle's owner and location, helping you identify weakly held targets.
    • Strike while garrisons are low. Natural castle AI replenishes defenders over time, so attacking quickly after a costly battle gives you an advantage.
    • Chain captures. A freshly captured castle keeps whatever attackers survived the siege as its new garrison, letting you snowball across the map.
    • Natural spawns create wild-card castles. Unowned (randomly spawned) castles can be targeted and claimed, expanding your network without directly provoking a major power.
    • Defend your own castles. With no reinforcements arriving during a siege, even a strong garrison can be overwhelmed — keep multiple castles to divide enemy attention.
