Sanviento

Quickstart

• In Creative mode, find the Sanviento Spawn Egg and use it on the ground. If cheats are enabled, you can also run /summon com_sanviento_5idhllyu:myplayer.
• Give yourself room to fight: Sanviento is a hostile boss with 115 health. Try facing him at night, then watch how he reacts to direct daylight.
• Keep your distance when he spreads his ribs—he can strike nearby targets, pull them in, and inflict blindness and nausea.

Overview

Sanviento is an undead predator that hunts living targets. He can appear naturally, or you can summon him to start an encounter. Sunlight makes him flee and burn; if he would die while exposed to daylight, he turns into a motionless stone form instead.

How To Use

Sanviento can spawn singly on the Overworld surface in low light, on Normal or Hard difficulty. To summon his other forms with cheats:

• Stone form: /summon com_sanviento_5idhllyu:stone_sanviento
• Flesh Slug: /summon com_sanviento_5idhllyu:flesh_slug

The stone form does not move or attack. Leave it alone to see it awaken, or fight it while it is stone.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Melee and recovery: Sanviento deals 10 damage with a normal hit and restores some health when his attacks damage a target.
• Ribcage attack: When a target is close, he can strike nearby creatures, pull hit targets toward him, and inflict blindness and nausea.
• Flesh Slugs: While chasing a target at medium range, Sanviento can send out three slugs. They pursue and attack targets, can restore some of Sanviento’s health when they land a hit, and disappear after about 20 seconds.
• Sunlight: Sanviento flees from direct daylight and takes extra damage while exposed. A lethal hit in daylight turns him to stone rather than leaving him dead. The stone form awakens after about a minute, even if it is still daytime.
• Night recovery: Sanviento regenerates health at night.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for the mod’s items. Sanviento’s Horn can drop when either Sanviento or Stone Sanviento is defeated. Sanviento also drops rotten flesh and bones; the stone form drops stone. Both forms drop gold, and Looting can improve the chance of getting the horn.

Progression And Strategy

Fight Sanviento under cover if you want to avoid his daylight transformation and extra sunlight damage. Watch for his ribcage attack and the slugs that join a chase; create space when you can, and take care of the slugs before they land hits. At night, remember that Sanviento recovers health.
