Bloxydino Realms

Quickstart

1. Find BloxyDinos in a swamp. Adults and babies can appear there. Adults drop 2–5 BloxyDino Scales when defeated; an adult near a player in the Overworld also sheds a scale periodically, about every 10 minutes.
2. Make the portal items. Craft Flint and Scale from a BloxyDino Scale, flint, and an iron ingot, then turn nine scales into each BloxyDino Stone:

1. Build a 4-block-wide by 5-block-tall BloxyDino Stone frame with a clear 2×3 opening. Use Flint and Scale on a frame block to open the destination menu. Choose The Things World, Isla Nublar, or Space — Mars Frontier.
2. Plan your return. The menu includes a Return to the Overworld option. Bring enough scales and Flint and Scale to build a frame at your destination if you want to open the menu there.
3. In Creative, spawn eggs let you try BloxyDinos, the realm’s residents, and its dinosaurs immediately.

Overview

Bloxydino Realms adds BloxyDinos, scale-made gear, and three destinations accessed through a BloxyDino Stone gate. Swamps are a good place to begin collecting scales; the destinations offer a city, a dinosaur island, and a Mars frontier to explore.

What It Adds

The mod also includes BloxyDino Scale tools and armor, Richite tools, Draganium, Hellish Potion, BloxyDino Eggs, and several golems and other creatures.

How To Use

• Open a gate: Use Flint and Scale on a BloxyDino Stone block in a complete 4×5 frame. Choose a destination from the menu.
• Meet the residents: Things City’s named inhabitants can be interacted with. Do not assume every creature you encounter is friendly.
• Hatch an egg: BloxyDino Eggs appear in the Mars frontier. Lava touching an egg causes it to hatch into a BloxyDino Baby.
• Use Hellish Potion: Brew it at a brewing stand with a potion and Draganium. It is throwable: hitting a chicken, cow, or sheep transforms it into Chickzilla, a Milk-Shooting Cow, or The Fattest Sheep. Hitting a player causes nausea and weakness.

Crafting And Obtaining

BloxyDino Scales are the main material for the gate and scale gear. An adult drops 2–5 scales when defeated; a player kill also yields a BloxyDino Skull. Babies drop 1–2 scales. Adults shed scales over time when a player is within 48 blocks in the Overworld.

Abilities And Mechanics

• A full 4×5 gate frame uses 14 BloxyDino Stone blocks. At nine scales per block, that is 126 scales for one frame.
• BloxyDino Eggs hatch when lava is adjacent to them.
• The Things World’s caverns and its golems and Reapers can make exploring dangerous.
• On Mars, beware of The Creator. Getting close can force a Creative player into Survival; its attacks also inflict Weakness.
• Explorer Notes can sometimes be found after certain creatures are defeated.

Progression And Strategy

Start by gathering scales in a swamp, then craft the BloxyDino armor and tools to prepare for exploration. Save scales for gate frames as well as equipment, and bring enough to make a return gate before travelling. Explore Things City and its caverns carefully, then visit Isla Nublar and Mars for their distinct creatures and terrain.
