Mod Wiki
Sakura Lucky Block
Quickstart
- Craft a Sakura Lucky Block using pink petals and a gold block (recipe below), or find one already in your world.
- Place the block down and break it with a pickaxe (or any tool that can mine it) — breaking it triggers its reward.
- Watch what happens: you might receive rare Sakura gear, get ambushed by a Sakura Ninja, find a cherry blossom shrine guarded by a Sakura Guardian, or receive a handful of blooming loot.
- Equip any Sakura armor pieces you find, eat a Sakura Apple or Sakura Petal for buffs, and try throwing a Sakura Shuriken at a target.

Overview
Sakura Lucky Block turns the classic "lucky block" gamble into a cherry-blossom-themed adventure. Breaking one of these blocks can trigger a wide range of outcomes — from handing you powerful netherite-tier armor to spawning dangerous ninjas or revealing a hidden guardian shrine. Every break is a surprise, and the rewards range from cosmetic snacks to some of the strongest gear you can find outside of vanilla progression.
What It Adds
- Sakura Lucky Block — a placeable, breakable block that triggers a random reward when broken.
- Sakura Armor Set — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots, all netherite-tier durability with bonus health, toughness, and combat buffs while worn.
- Sakura Axe — an extremely powerful axe with a curse ability that blinds nearby enemies.
- Sakura Apple — a magical food that grants flight, extra hearts, and Strength.
- Sakura Petal — a light snack offering regeneration and slow falling.
- Sakura Shuriken — a throwable ranged weapon that deals heavy damage in a single hit.
- Sakura Guardian Charm — a consumable charm that grants a temporary defensive blessing.
- Sakura Ninja — a hostile mob that throws shurikens at players from range.
- Sakura Guardian — a tough sentinel that protects Sakura Guardian Shrines.
- Sakura Guardian Shrine — a structure that can appear as a Lucky Block outcome, defended by a Guardian.
How To Use
- Placing and breaking: Place the Sakura Lucky Block like any normal block, then mine it with a pickaxe. The reward is granted the moment it breaks — nothing happens just from placing it.
- Wearing armor: Equip any combination of Sakura Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, or Boots. While worn, each piece adds bonus max health and periodically refreshes Strength, Resistance, Regeneration, Speed, and Fire Resistance on the wearer.
- Using the axe: Right-click with the Sakura Axe to curse the nearest player you're looking at within range, blinding them and shrouding them in darkness for a short time. This ability has a cooldown after use.
- Eating food: Eat a Sakura Apple for a full minute of flight, a large Health Boost, and Strength. Eat a Sakura Petal for a quick burst of Regeneration and Slow Falling — both are always edible, even at full hunger.
- Throwing weapons: Right-click with a Sakura Shuriken to throw it. A direct hit deals massive damage. There is a short cooldown between throws.
- Using the charm: Right-click the Sakura Guardian Charm to grant yourself Resistance and Absorption for a short time. It has a longer cooldown and is consumed on use (outside Creative Mode).
- Facing enemies: Sakura Ninjas will throw shurikens at you from a distance — close the gap quickly or take cover. Sakura Guardians are tougher, tankier melee fighters that defend their shrine; expect a real fight if you approach one.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Sakura Lucky Block itself is crafted from pink petals surrounding a gold block:

You'll also automatically receive the Lucky Block recipe the first time you join a world with this mod active, so you can always craft more once you know the pattern.
High-tier Sakura armor is crafted from netherite blocks and a nether star, making it an end-game crafting option as well as a possible Lucky Block reward:

All other Sakura items — the Axe, Apple, Petal, Shuriken, and Guardian Charm — are primarily obtained as random rewards from breaking Sakura Lucky Blocks, rather than crafted directly.
Abilities And Mechanics
| Item/Entity | Effect |
|---|---|
| Sakura Helmet/Chestplate/Leggings/Boots | Adds bonus max health and toughness; periodically grants Strength, Resistance, Regeneration, Speed, and Fire Resistance while worn |
| Sakura Axe | Extremely high damage; right-click curses the nearest player in view with Blindness and Darkness |
| Sakura Apple | Grants ~1 minute of flight, a large Health Boost, and Strength X |
| Sakura Petal | Grants short Regeneration and Slow Falling |
| Sakura Shuriken | Thrown weapon dealing very heavy damage on direct hit |
| Sakura Guardian Charm | Grants temporary Resistance and Absorption; consumable, long cooldown |
| Sakura Ninja | Hostile mob that throws shurikens at players from range |
| Sakura Guardian | Tough melee sentinel that defends Sakura Guardian Shrines |
Progression And Strategy
Breaking Sakura Lucky Blocks is the heart of this mod — every break is a gamble between minor snacks, dangerous enemies, or top-tier gear. Because the strongest armor and weapons rival or exceed netherite equipment, farming Lucky Blocks can become a real (if risky) path to power: some breaks summon hostile Ninjas or reveal Guardian-protected shrines, so keep your health up and be ready to fight before committing to opening one. Once you've secured Sakura armor and weapons, use their built-in buffs and abilities to take on tougher challenges, and keep Guardian Charms on hand as an emergency panic button in dangerous fights.
