Rewind Watch

Quickstart

Craft the watch at a crafting table, then hold it and use it. Use it normally to rewind; sneak while using it to freeze nearby mobs and projectiles.

You need four gold ingots, an ender pearl, and a clock:

Try a normal use after you’ve been alive in the same dimension for five seconds. Move around, then use the watch to return to a safe spot from five seconds earlier.

Overview

The Rewind Watch is a durable, single-stack pocket watch with two abilities. It records your recent position, health, and hunger so you can recover from a bad moment—or briefly stop nearby threats.

Abilities and Mechanics

Rewinding doesn’t reverse the world, enemy actions, or your inventory. The watch needs five seconds of history from your current dimension; history starts over after you die or change dimensions. If there’s no safe place near the recorded position, the rewind may not move you. A rewind attempt still uses durability and starts its cooldown.

Time Freeze doesn’t affect other players. The Ender Dragon and Wither are slowed rather than fully frozen.

Crafting and Obtaining

Craft the watch using the recipe in Quickstart. It has 30 durability and can be repaired with gold ingots, restoring 5 durability per ingot. Reserve it for moments when a rewind or brief pause would help most.
