Redroof Plains Homestead

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, obtain the Redroof Plains Homestead Wand from the Equipment section of the Creative inventory, or use: /give @s com_redroof_plains_homestead_uad5jtlw:structure_wand
2. Place the wand in your hotbar and aim at a clear area, preferably a wide plain.
3. Use the wand to fire its projectile. When the projectile hits, the red-roofed white homestead appears around the impact area.
4. Enter the house and search it for its valuable supplies.
5. Wait about 2 seconds before firing the wand again.

The wand does not require a separate crafting recipe. Its projectile causes no direct damage, though it can knock targets back.

Overview

Redroof Plains Homestead adds a complete farmstead structure that can be placed on demand in your world. The centerpiece is a white homestead with a red roof and valuable supplies hidden inside.

The structure is placed by firing the included wand rather than by finding a naturally generated building. Choose a spacious location before using it, since the homestead is a large structure.

How To Use

Placing the Homestead

Hold the Redroof Plains Homestead Wand and use it while aiming at the desired location. The wand launches a projectile with a slight arc. When it collides with a block or other target, the homestead is placed around that impact point and a placement particle effect appears.

For the best result:

• Use the wand in a broad, mostly open area.
• Aim near the ground where you want the homestead to stand.
• Keep clear of cliffs, cramped spaces, and existing buildings.
• Check the area above the target as well, since the structure extends upward.
• Avoid placing it over important builds unless you are prepared for the structure to occupy that space.

Firing Controls

The wand uses the standard Minecraft item-use control:

• Keyboard and mouse: right-click
• Controller: use the item button
• Touch: press and hold the use-item control

The wand has a short delay between shots, so firing again immediately may not work. It also does not destroy blocks when used as a mining tool.

Exploring the House

After placement, enter the homestead and inspect its rooms and storage areas. The supplies are part of the placed structure, so search the building rather than expecting separate dropped items from the wand.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for the Redroof Plains Homestead Wand. In Creative mode, it is available in the Equipment category.

The wand’s placement projectile is supplied automatically when the wand is used in Creative mode.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Structure placement: A projectile impact triggers the complete homestead.
• Long-range targeting: Aim at a distant open location to place the building without walking there first.
• No direct damage: The projectile deals zero damage.
• Knockback: Targets struck by the projectile can be pushed back.
• Cooldown: The wand has an approximately 2-second cooldown between uses.
• One placement per impact: Each projectile affects one impact location and disappears after triggering.
• Large footprint: The homestead occupies a substantial area, so terrain and nearby buildings can interfere with placement.

Progression And Strategy

Use the wand early when you want a ready-made base, shelter, or supply cache in a plains biome. Place the homestead near useful travel routes but far enough from other structures to leave room for paths, farms, animals, and future expansion.

Before placing it in Survival mode, scout the location and make sure you have a safe route to the house. Once it appears, secure the building, collect its valuable supplies, and adapt the homestead into a long-term base or a convenient outpost.
