Rainbow Transfiguration Wand

Quickstart

1. Craft the Homotransfiguration Wand using the recipe below, or grab it straight from the Tools & Utilities tab in Creative inventory.
2. Hold the wand and left-click any living creature — animals, monsters, villagers, horses, even other players — to rainbow-touch them.
3. Watch your target slowly bloom into a giant, glittering rainbow-colored version of itself over the next several minutes.
4. Once a mob is rainbow-touched, walk up and right-click it with an empty hand to hop on for an uncontrolled, high-speed flight.
5. Enjoy the ride — you can't steer, but you can't get hurt either.

Overview

The Rainbow Transfiguration Wand turns any living creature into a peaceful, ever-growing rainbow companion. Zap something with the wand and it stops fighting, starts glowing with rainbow particles, and slowly balloons in size. Once transformed, the creature becomes your personal (if unpredictable) flying mount and a magnet for other wand-carrying players.

What It Adds

Craft the wand with an amethyst shard, cyan dye, and two sticks arranged on a crafting table:

Abilities And Mechanics

Transforming a creature

• Left-click any living entity with the wand equipped in your main hand.
• The target becomes "rainbow-touched": it stops being hostile, stops attacking, and can no longer deal or take damage from combat sources tied to it.
• A message announces the transformation, and the creature immediately begins glowing with layered rainbow-colored particle auras.

Growing over time

• Rainbow-touched creatures steadily grow larger the longer they remain transformed.
• Given enough time (roughly fifteen real-world minutes), a creature reaches its maximum size — nearly ten times its normal scale — and stays there, fully transfigured.

Riding and flight

• Right-click a rainbow-touched creature with an empty hand to mount it and begin an "uncontrolled journey."
• Once mounted, you have no steering control — the creature flies fast, changes altitude periodically, and will detour around obstacles on its own.
• You take no fall damage while riding, and you're protected from fall damage for a short time immediately after dismounting, even from great heights.

Following the wand

• Rainbow-touched mobs sense nearby players carrying the wand and will follow them around, stopping a short distance away rather than crowding in.

Rainbow blasts

• Occasionally, a rainbow-touched creature releases a burst of rainbow energy toward nearby hostile mobs, which has a chance to spread the rainbow-touched transformation to them as well — letting the effect propagate across a group of monsters over time.

Progression And Strategy

• Start small: transform a passive animal first to see the growth and flight mechanics without worrying about combat.
• Rainbow-touching a dangerous mob (like a hostile monster) instantly neutralizes it, making the wand useful both for fun rides and for defusing threats.
• Keep the wand equipped while exploring — any rainbow-touched creatures nearby will follow you, letting you build a small rainbow herd.
• Use rainbow blasts strategically near groups of hostile mobs to convert an entire pack into peaceful, ridable giants over time.
• Because rides are uncontrolled, treat mounting a rainbow-touched creature as a sightseeing activity rather than a way to travel to a specific destination.
