Rainbow Orbling

Quickstart

1. Craft a Rainbow Orbling at a crafting table:

1. Equip it in your hand. You can also place it in your off-hand.
2. Use the item to bounce yourself upward. You gain Jump Boost II and Slow Falling briefly, making the bounce easier to control.
3. Strike an entity while holding the Rainbow Orbling to shove it away and give it brief Nausea and Slowness.

In Creative mode, you can also obtain it with:

/give @s com_rainbow_orbling_pkneyof2:my_sword 1

Overview

The Rainbow Orbling is a cheerful rainbow ball with a curious face. It is a stackable item that behaves like a playful bouncing tool when used and disrupts entities it hits.

What It Adds

• Rainbow Orbling — A colorful item that:
  • Bounces its user upward when used.
  • Briefly grants Jump Boost II and Slow Falling.
  • Pushes hit entities away with a small upward bounce.
  • Briefly applies Nausea and Slowness to hit entities.
  • Stacks up to 16 items.
  • Can be held in either hand.

How To Use

Bounce Yourself

Hold the Rainbow Orbling and use it with your normal item-use control:

• Right-click on PC.
• Press the use-item button on a controller.
• Tap the use-item control on a touchscreen.

Using the Orbling launches you upward, grants Jump Boost II, and gives you Slow Falling for a short time. Use it near open space to bounce around safely or to help reach a higher ledge.

Hit an Entity

Hold the Orbling in your main hand and attack an entity. A successful hit:

• Pushes the target away from you.
• Gives the target a small upward knockback.
• Applies Nausea briefly.
• Applies Slowness briefly.

The push follows the direction between you and the target, so it can be used to knock entities away from hazards or interrupt their approach.

Off-Hand Use

The Rainbow Orbling can be placed in your off-hand. For reliable attacks, hold it in your main hand so that it can be used as the attacking item.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Rainbow Orbling at a crafting table using:

• Red Wool
• Orange Wool
• Yellow Wool
• Lime Wool ×2
• Blue Wool
• Purple Wool ×2
• Black Wool

In Creative mode, search for Rainbow Orbling in the equipment category, or use the /give command shown in Quickstart.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Orbling’s effects are short-lived, so it works best for playful movement, quick evasive jumps, and briefly disorienting nearby entities.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft one early if you want a fun movement tool made from colorful wool.
• Use the upward bounce with Slow Falling to cross gaps or reach elevated platforms.
• Bounce in open areas to avoid colliding with ceilings or walls.
• Use hits to create distance from hostile mobs or push entities away from cliffs, lava, and other hazards.
• Carry a stack for repeated use during exploration or minigames.
