Prismatic Flameblade

Quickstart

1. Obtain the sword by crafting it at a crafting table or by searching for Prismatic Flameblade in the Creative inventory.
2. Equip it in your main hand.
3. Attack a mob normally to use its powerful melee strike.
4. Use the sword button—right-click on PC, or the equivalent use control on your device—to fire a rainbow laser in the direction you are looking.
5. Keep the blade equipped to see its rotating rainbow flame aura. The laser can be fired once every 2 seconds.

To obtain it with a command, use:

/give @s com_prismatic_flameblade_edauwwsu:my_sword

Overview

The Prismatic Flameblade is a fiery rainbow sword with two offensive abilities:

• A powerful melee attack that launches enemies backward.
• A prismatic laser blast that damages and knocks back entities at range.

Rainbow flames surround the wielder while the sword is held in the main hand.

What It Adds

How To Use

Melee Attacks

Equip the Prismatic Flameblade and attack an entity normally. A successful hit:

• Deals 40 damage.
• Launches the target away from you.
• Creates a ring of rainbow flames around the target.

Prismatic Laser

Use the sword while looking toward your target. The blade fires a rainbow beam forward for approximately 15 blocks.

The laser:

• Deals 32 magic damage to each valid entity it reaches.
• Knocks targets backward.
• Damages each target at most once per blast.
• Does not damage the player who fired it.
• Has a 2-second cooldown.

A cooldown indicator is not added, so wait about 2 seconds between laser blasts.

Rainbow Aura

While the Prismatic Flameblade is in your main hand, seven colored flame particles rotate around you. Switching to another item or moving the sword out of your main hand stops the aura.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the sword at a crafting table using two prismarine crystals, one nether star, and one blaze rod:

The recipe produces one Prismatic Flameblade.

In Creative mode, find it in the Equipment category or search for its name. You can also use the item command shown in Quickstart.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Attack damage: 49 base item damage.
• Melee ability damage: 40 damage per successful hit.
• Laser ability damage: 32 magic damage per target.
• Melee knockback: Strong knockback that sends targets away from the attacker.
• Laser knockback: Pushes targets away along the direction of the beam.
• Durability: 2,031.
• Laser cooldown: 40 game ticks, or 2 seconds.
• Enchanting: Uses the sword enchantment category.

The sword's colored flames are visual effects; they do not automatically set targets or terrain on fire.

Progression And Strategy

The Prismatic Flameblade requires rare materials, including a nether star, so it is best suited for late-game combat or Creative-mode experimentation.

• Use melee attacks against nearby enemies to combine high damage with heavy knockback.
• Use the laser before enemies reach you or to strike several targets in a line.
• Aim carefully: the laser follows your view direction.
• Keep the sword in your main hand when exploring to maintain the rainbow aura.
• Enchant the blade using normal sword enchantments to complement its built-in abilities.
