Mythic Bloodlines
Quickstart
- On your first join, choose one of the 15 bloodlines from the selection screen. Click a name to apply it.
- Press 2 (the default Use Bloodline Ability key) to unleash your bloodline’s ability. Each use has a 5-second cooldown.
- To choose another bloodline later, use a Bloodline Sigil, or run
/bloodlineto reopen the selection screen. - Try your bloodline’s gifts right away: they include effects such as night vision, speed, fire resistance, and slow falling. Some bloodlines also have distinctive visible features.
Overview
Your bloodline determines your appearance, long-lasting status-effect gifts, and a short ability burst. Your choice is saved when you leave or respawn.
The selection screen lists these choices: Vampire, Human, Catfolk, Dogfolk, Elf, Dwarf, Devil, Angel, Vampire-Human, Half-Elf, Half-Dwarf, Half-Devil, Half-Angel, Dragon, and Human-Dragon.
What It Adds
- Bloodline selection: Choose or change your race in-game.
- Racial gifts: Each bloodline applies a distinct set of status effects.
- Abilities: Activate a temporary burst with the default 2 key.
- Appearance details: Bloodlines can add features such as ears, tails, horns, fangs, beards, scales, or wings.
How To Use
Choose or change your bloodline
Your first selection screen opens automatically when you join without a bloodline. To change your choice, craft and use a Bloodline Sigil, or enter /bloodline in chat. Click a bloodline on the screen to select it.
Using a Sigil opens the selection screen and consumes the Sigil outside Creative mode. You can also find it in the Tools creative inventory.
Use your ability
Press 2 by default, or change the key in Controls under Use Bloodline Ability. The ability gives you a five-second burst of effects. It can be used again after its five-second cooldown; if it is still recharging, the game displays the remaining time.
Abilities from full-blooded bloodlines also damage nearby hostile mobs. Hybrid bloodlines provide their burst effects but do not deal this area damage.
Crafting And Obtaining
A Bloodline Sigil is crafted as follows:

Appearance and special traits
- Catfolk and Dogfolk have ears and tails; Elves have pointed ears.
- Vampires and Vampire-Humans have fangs.
- Devils have horns and tails. Dragons and Human-Dragons have horns, scales, and wings.
- Angels have wings. Half-blooded angel and devil features are smaller.
- Dwarves and Half-Dwarves have beards; Dwarves are also smaller and can pass through certain one-block-high obstructions while grounded.
- Wings are visual features; they do not grant flight.
Vampire has an additional danger: direct daylight can set you on fire if the sky is visible, your head slot is empty, and you are not touching water. Wear something in the head slot or stay out of direct sunlight to avoid burning. This sunlight effect applies to Vampire, not Vampire-Human.
Progression And Strategy
There is no unlock path: choose from all 15 bloodlines when the selection screen opens. Use the Sigil or /bloodline whenever you want to try a different set of gifts and appearance. Use your ability burst when its temporary effects—or, for full-blooded bloodlines, its nearby hostile-mob damage—will help most.
