Description
Open the Creative inventory and look in the Nature category for:
Find Moonstone in the Construction category.
Place the blocks to build a small lunar scene. Use Moon Blossom as a decorative flower.
Find the Lunar Wisp Spawn Egg in the Creative inventory, or summon one with:
/summon com_moonlit_expanse_xap7q7rf:lunar_wisp
Interact with the Lunar Wisp without sneaking to give it an item. It can collect matching dropped items and bring them back to you.
Place a note block nearby to give the Wisp another destination for collected items.
There are no crafting recipes for the mod’s blocks or creatures. In survival, obtain the blocks by finding and mining them in the Moon biome or by using commands when cheats are enabled.
Moonlit Expanse adds a lunar-themed environment with pale ground materials, Moonstone construction blocks, lunar trees, flowers, and a flying helper creature called the Lunar Wisp.
The Lunar Wisp naturally appears on Moon Dust or Moon Soil in dark areas of the Moon biome. It travels in small groups of one or two.
| Content | Description |
|---|---|
| Moon Dust | A soft lunar ground block |
| Moon Soil | A second lunar ground block |
| Moonstone | A durable construction block |
| Lunar Log | A wood-like building block |
| Lunar Leaves | Foliage for lunar trees and builds |
| Moon Blossom | A small decorative flower |
| Lunar Wisp | A flying creature that collects matching dropped items |
| Lunar Wisp Spawn Egg | Spawns a Lunar Wisp when used |
Moon Dust and Moon Soil are the surface blocks associated with Lunar Wisp spawning. Moonstone is used for construction, while Lunar Log, Lunar Leaves, and Moon Blossom provide materials for lunar-themed builds.
The blocks drop themselves when mined:
Use Moonstone for solid structures, paths, walls, or platforms. Combine Lunar Log and Lunar Leaves to create lunar trees or sheltered areas. Moon Blossom has no collision or selection box, making it a purely decorative plant that can be walked through.
The Lunar Wisp is a small, flying utility creature.
/summon command. The Wisp has a one-item inventory, so it handles one item type at a time. It follows its player and can fly freely without gravity. A nearby note block can also serve as a delivery point for items.
You can leash a Lunar Wisp, name it, and use it as a decorative companion. Its owner cannot damage it with attacks. Keep it away from lava, which damages it over time.
No crafting recipes are provided.

Lunar Wisps can spawn:
Use the Spawn Egg when you want to place one in a custom build regardless of natural spawning conditions.
A Lunar Wisp drops a Moon Blossom when it is killed.
Start by collecting Moon Dust, Moon Soil, and Moonstone to establish a lunar base. Add Lunar Log and Lunar Leaves for structure and natural decoration, then place Moon Blossoms around the area.
For item collection, give a Lunar Wisp the item type you want it to gather before dropping matching items nearby. Keep the Wisp close to your work area, or place a note block where you want it to deliver items. Use a leash if you want to keep it within a particular section of your base.
