Lucille

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, find Lucille items in the Combat, Tools, and Ingredients tabs.
2. In Survival mode, craft an Ender Pearl Shard from an Ender Pearl. One Ender Pearl produces two shards.
3. Craft any Ender Pearl tool and right-click in empty space while holding it. You will teleport up to eight blocks forward if there is enough room to land.
4. Craft and equip all four pieces of Deepslate Emerald armor to receive repeating periods of Invisibility.
5. Craft Lucille, equip it in your main hand, and attack enemies with its powerful knockback.

Overview

Lucille adds three equipment themes:

• Ender Pearl gear for short-range teleportation and enchanted-looking armor.
• Deepslate Emerald gear for durable armor and tools, plus a full-set Invisibility effect.
• Lucille, a barbed-wire baseball bat with strong attack knockback.

What It Adds

Materials

• Ender Pearl Shard — crafted from Ender Pearls and used for Ender Pearl armor and tools.
• Deepslate Emerald Ore — used to craft and repair Deepslate Emerald gear.
• Iron Bars and a Stick — used to craft Lucille.

Ender Pearl gear

The Ender Pearl set contains four armor pieces and five teleporting tools:

• Ender Pearl Helmet
• Ender Pearl Chestplate
• Ender Pearl Leggings
• Ender Pearl Boots
• Ender Pearl Sword
• Ender Pearl Pickaxe
• Ender Pearl Axe
• Ender Pearl Shovel
• Ender Pearl Hoe

The teleport interaction belongs to the five Ender Pearl tools. The armor itself provides protection but does not activate teleportation.

Deepslate Emerald gear

The Deepslate Emerald set contains:

• Deepslate Emerald Helmet
• Deepslate Emerald Chestplate
• Deepslate Emerald Leggings
• Deepslate Emerald Boots
• Deepslate Emerald Sword
• Deepslate Emerald Pickaxe
• Deepslate Emerald Axe
• Deepslate Emerald Shovel
• Deepslate Emerald Hoe

These tools have 1,800 durability, a mining speed of 8.5, and tier-3 mining capability. Deepslate Emerald gear can be repaired with Deepslate Emerald Ore.

Lucille

Lucille is a melee weapon with 4 attack damage and an additional 2 points of attack knockback. Use it in your main hand and attack normally.

How To Use

Ender Pearl tools

Hold any Ender Pearl Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, or Hoe and right-click in empty space.

• The tool searches for a clear landing position between 2 and 8 blocks ahead.
• It chooses the furthest safe position in that direction.
• A clear player-sized space is required.
• A successful teleport plays an Enderman teleport sound at both locations.
• The ability has a 5-second cooldown.
• The teleport does not consume an Ender Pearl.

If the path is blocked or there is no safe position in range, the teleport fails.

Deepslate Emerald armor

Equip all four pieces at once:

• Deepslate Emerald Helmet
• Deepslate Emerald Chestplate
• Deepslate Emerald Leggings
• Deepslate Emerald Boots

While the complete set is equipped, you repeatedly gain Invisibility for approximately 10 seconds, followed by approximately 10 seconds without it. The cycle repeats automatically; there is no activation key.

Removing any one piece prevents the full-set effect from being applied.

Lucille

Hold Lucille in your main hand and attack enemies. Its high knockback is useful for:

• Pushing hostile mobs away from you.
• Creating space during close combat.
• Knocking enemies from ledges.
• Controlling groups near hazards.

Crafting one Ender Pearl produces two shards.

Deepslate Emerald armor

Craft each armor piece from Deepslate Emerald Ore.

Ender Pearl armor provides the following protection values:

Ender Pearl armor can be repaired with Ender Pearl Shards.

Deepslate Emerald tools

Use Deepslate Emerald Ore and Sticks to craft the tools.

Ender Pearl tools

Use Ender Pearl Shards and Sticks to craft the teleporting tools.

All five Ender Pearl tools use the same forward-teleport interaction.

Lucille

Lucille is crafted from Iron Bars and a Stick.

Abilities And Mechanics

Teleport range

Ender Pearl tools can move you between 2 and 8 blocks forward. The ability checks positions from the furthest distance inward, so it normally places you at the farthest clear point available.

Aim carefully when using the tools near walls, ceilings, cliffs, or other hazards. The ability only succeeds when your full player hitbox fits at the destination.

Invisibility cycle

The Deepslate Emerald armor effect requires the complete four-piece set. The effect is automatic and repeats continuously while the set is worn.

Use the invisible period to:

• Scout dangerous areas.
• Approach mobs more safely.
• Reposition before combat.
• Escape pursuit.

The effect does not require an item in your hand.

Equipment durability

Deepslate Emerald armor and tools are highly durable and can be repaired with Deepslate Emerald Ore. Lucille uses the same durable Deepslate Emerald material.

Progression And Strategy

1. Gather Ender Pearls and convert them into Ender Pearl Shards.
2. Craft an Ender Pearl tool first to gain a reusable short-range movement ability.
3. Gather Deepslate Emerald Ore for the stronger armor and tool set.
4. Build the complete Deepslate Emerald armor set before relying on Invisibility; individual pieces do not provide the effect.
5. Carry Lucille for situations where knocking enemies away is more valuable than simply dealing damage.
6. Combine teleportation with the armor cycle: use Ender Pearl tools to reposition, then take advantage of the next invisible period to scout or retreat.
