Mutant Lucky Block

Quickstart

1. Craft a Mutant Lucky Block using gunpowder and TNT:

1. Place it down in the world like any normal block.
2. Mine it with a pickaxe — breaking it triggers its surprise.
3. Be ready for anything: a pile of powerful gear, a devastating explosion, or a towering Mutant Zombie boss charging at you.
4. Loot dropped gear and try equipping the full Mutant armor set, swinging the Mutant Sword, or firing the Mutant Bazooka and Mutant Bow.

Overview

Mutant Lucky Block adds a supercharged twist on the classic "Lucky Block" concept. Instead of small, random trinkets, breaking a Mutant Lucky Block can unleash massive rewards, chaotic explosions, or a dangerous mutant ambush. Everything dropped from the block is built around high-power combat gear and a boss-tier enemy, making this mod best suited for players who want big, dramatic surprises rather than small conveniences.

What It Adds

• Mutant Lucky Block — a placeable block that resolves a surprise when mined.
• Mutant Apple and Enchanted Mutant Apple — powerful buff foods.
• Mutant Sword — an extremely high-damage melee weapon.
• Mutant Armor Set (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots) — heavily protective gear that also boosts max health.
• Mutant Bazooka — a launcher that fires explosive TNT projectiles.
• Mutant Bow — a bow that unleashes a flaming volley of arrows in one shot.
• Mutant Zombie — a giant boss-level hostile mob, along with its spawn egg.

How To Use

Crafting the Lucky Block

Craft the block using the recipe above and place it in your world. Breaking it (mining it) is what triggers its effect — it does not activate on right-click.

Fighting the Mutant Zombie

If a Lucky Block spawns a Mutant Zombie, expect a serious fight: it's much larger and tougher than a normal zombie, hits extremely hard, and resists knockback. Defeating it as a player rewards you with a stack of additional Mutant Lucky Blocks, letting you keep the cycle of risk and reward going.

Using Mutant Weapons

• Mutant Sword: A melee weapon that deals massive damage per hit — ideal against tough targets like the Mutant Zombie itself.
• Mutant Bazooka: Right-click (use) to fire a TNT projectile that explodes immediately on impact with terrain or entities. It has limited durability and a short cooldown between shots.
• Mutant Bow: Draw and release like a normal bow, but each shot launches a full spread of 20 flaming arrows at once instead of a single arrow. It consumes normal arrows as ammunition and has its own durability.

Wearing Mutant Armor

Equip the full Mutant armor set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) for very high protection. Each individual piece also grants extra maximum health, so wearing the complete set noticeably increases your survivability.

Eating Mutant Apples

Eating a Mutant Apple grants a strong combination of Regeneration, Resistance, Strength, Fire Resistance, and Absorption for a good while. The Enchanted Mutant Apple provides the same effects at higher strength and for a much longer duration, making it a premium reward worth saving for tough fights.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Mutant Lucky Block itself is the only item with a standard crafting recipe; everything else (apples, weapons, armor, and the Mutant Zombie) is obtained as loot when a Mutant Lucky Block is broken, or as a boss drop from defeating the Mutant Zombie. The Mutant Zombie Spawn Egg can also be used in Creative mode to summon the boss directly for testing or showcasing its fight.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Breaking triggers the reward — Mutant Lucky Blocks only do something when mined, not when placed or right-clicked.
• Mutant Zombie drops — killing a spawned Mutant Zombie as a player rewards a fresh batch of Lucky Blocks, encouraging repeat play.
• High-risk rewards — items dropped are intentionally overpowered, so encountering a Lucky Block can be either a jackpot or a dangerous ambush.

Progression And Strategy

Because outcomes are unpredictable, approach each Mutant Lucky Block with caution — keep some distance after breaking it in case an explosion or a Mutant Zombie appears. Early on, breaking blocks in an open area gives you room to retreat or fight. Once you've collected some Mutant gear, use the Sword, Bow, or Bazooka to make later Mutant Zombie encounters easier, and loop the reward cycle by turning boss kills back into more Lucky Blocks to crack open.
