Item Mimic Block

Quickstart

1. Craft an Item Mimic Block:

1. Place it, then right-click it while holding the item you want to display. The item appears above the block; your held item is not consumed.
2. Right-click the block with an empty hand to open its menu. There you can set an item from the input slot, clear the display, or copy 64 items into your inventory.

Overview

The Item Mimic Block displays a single item as a small floating model above its top face. It copies the item’s appearance without using up the item.

How To Use

• Set a display directly: Right-click the block while holding an item. This replaces the current display.
• Use the menu: Right-click with an empty hand. Put an item in the input slot and select Copy Item to display it. The input item remains in the slot.
• Clear the display: Select Clear Display in the menu. This removes the displayed copy; it does not return an item.
• Copy items: Select Copy 64 to Inventory to add 64 of the input item to your inventory. If the input slot is empty, it uses the displayed item instead. Make room for all 64 first.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the block at a crafting table using the recipe in Quickstart. Its recipe is unlocked automatically. You can also find it in the Functional Items creative inventory.

A pickaxe is suitable for mining the block.
