Infernal Downfall Staff

Quickstart

1. At a crafting table, make the staff with and craft ammunition with .
2. Equip the staff in your main hand and keep ammunition in your inventory.
3. Use the staff to fire a bolt. To call down a barrage, hold use while crouching for about 0.7 seconds. Keep crouching and holding use to sustain the rain; standing or releasing use interrupts it.

Overview

The crimson-black Infernal Downfall Staff fires damaging projectiles and can call down a spread of them around the direction you’re facing. Holding it in your main hand refreshes a temporary health boost.

What It Adds

• Infernal Downfall Staff: A projectile weapon that fires the staff’s custom bolts.
• Infernal Downfall Staff Ammo: Ammunition for the staff, stackable to 64.
• Scorching Downfall: A crouch-channeled barrage of falling bolts.

How To Use

• Fire a bolt: Use the staff with ammunition available. Bolts deal 5–8 damage and knock targets back.
• Call the barrage: Hold use while crouching. After the brief channel, two bolts fall per volley into a scattered area centered about seven blocks in front of you. Further volleys come about every 0.4 seconds while you keep crouching and holding use.
• Scorch impacts: A bolt that hits an entity sets it on fire for four seconds. A bolt that hits a block starts a fire in the space above it if that space is air.
• Gain health: Using the staff grants a short health boost and restores your health to the boosted maximum. Keeping the staff in your main hand refreshes the boost, which adds up to 100 hearts while active.

Craft both items at a crafting table. The staff recipe uses two obsidian, a fire charge, a netherite ingot, and a blaze rod:

Abilities And Mechanics

Scorching Downfall sends its bolts toward the area in front of your view, with impacts scattered across a broad patch. Its projectiles deal impact damage and knockback; they can also ignite entities or start fires above blocks.

The health boost is temporary. Keep the staff in your main hand to refresh it, and use the staff to restore health to the boosted maximum.
