Description:
Copperstrike Longshot — a black, scoped sniper rifle with suppressor, extended stock and a 6-round detachable magazine that fires high-velocity Copperstrike Bullets (craftable from iron + copper); headshots or critical hits instantly kill while body shots deal about half damage. Hold the use button to enter a spyglass-style scoped aim (movement is slowed while scoped) and release the use/attack to fire — the rifle only shoots on release. New rifles start with an empty magazine; keep Copperstrike Bullets in your inventory to reload (consumes up to six bullets to fill the magazine) and the weapon will not reload or fire without the special ammo.

Copperstrike Longshot
Quickstart
- Craft Copperstrike Bullets at a crafting table using iron and copper ingots — you get 6 per craft.
- Craft the Copperstrike Longshot at a crafting table using copper ingots, iron ingots, sticks, and a spyglass.
- Hold the rifle in your hand. The magazine starts empty, so walk near a crafting table and make sure bullets are in your inventory — the rifle will automatically reload (consuming up to 6 bullets) when you try to fire.
- Hold the Use button (right-click / hold screen) to look through the scope. Your movement slows while scoped.
- Release the Use button to fire. The shot only triggers on release, not while holding.
- Aim for the head for an instant kill, or land a body shot for ~50% of the target's max health.

The rifle can also be repaired in an anvil using copper ingots or iron ingots (each restores 96 durability points).
How To Use
Loading
New rifles start with an empty magazine. Keep Copperstrike Bullets anywhere in your inventory. When you attempt to fire, the rifle automatically reloads — consuming up to 6 bullets to fill the magazine. If you have no bullets, the rifle will not reload or fire.
Scoped Aiming
- Hold Use → enters scoped view (spyglass animation). Your movement speed is heavily reduced while scoped.
- Release Use → fires one bullet in the exact direction you are aiming.
The rifle only fires on release. Holding the button is purely for aiming.
Fire Rate
There is a ~1.8-second cooldown between shots.
Abilities And Mechanics
Hit Detection
Every shot checks where the bullet strikes relative to the target's height:
| Hit Location | Effect |
|---|
| Head (top ~35% of entity) | Instant kill + lightning bolt visual effect. Chat message: ☠ HEADSHOT! |
| Body | Deals 50% of the target's maximum health as damage. Chat message: ✦ Body shot! |
Your action bar always shows your current magazine count after firing: [Copperstrike] Bullets: X/6.
Enchanting
The Copperstrike Longshot can be enchanted at an enchanting table or anvil using sword-type enchantments.
Progression And Strategy
- Ammo management is key. Each crafting recipe yields exactly 6 bullets — one full magazine. Stock up before heading into combat.
- Always scope before shooting. Releasing without scoping still fires, but scoping ensures your aim is aligned precisely with your view direction.
- Prioritize headshots. A well-placed headshot eliminates any mob or player instantly regardless of health pool, while a body shot on a high-health target may leave them alive.
- Repair with common materials. Copper and iron ingots are easy to farm, keeping your rifle in service for long adventures.
- Enchant for survivability. Because you must stand still and slow down to aim, enchantments that improve melee fallback (Knockback, Fire Aspect) can help when enemies close the gap.
