Illager Universe

Quickstart

1. Enter Creative Mode and open the item tabs.
2. Select the Illager Universe creative tab. Its icon is one of the mod’s spawn eggs.
3. Choose a spawn egg and use it on the ground to summon that illager.
4. Start with a few different families and ranks to compare their appearances and combat behavior.
5. For a friendly settlement defense test, spawn a Town Guard near hostile mobs. It carries an iron axe and attacks nearby hostile creatures rather than treating players as its default targets.

The mod’s spawn eggs stack to 64. There are no crafting recipes for the eggs.

Overview

Illager Universe is a creative-focused collection of illager variants. It provides 150 hostile illagers, each with its own name, appearance, and spawn egg, plus the town-aligned Town Guard.

The hostile variants use pillager-style combat behavior, while the Town Guard is a melee defender designed to fight other hostile creatures.

How To Use

Using Spawn Eggs

In Creative Mode:

1. Open the Illager Universe tab.
2. Pick the desired spawn egg.
3. Use the egg on a suitable block.
4. Fight, observe, or build an encounter around the spawned illager.

The hostile illagers can be used for arena battles, raid-themed builds, mob displays, adventure maps, and survival challenges.

The Town Guard

The Town Guard is a defensive illager rather than one of the hostile catalog variants.

• It carries an iron axe.
• It uses melee attacks.
• It targets nearby hostile creatures.
• It does not use players as its default target.
• It can look toward nearby players while standing guard.
• Its iron axe is not dropped when the Town Guard is defeated.

Place Town Guards near villages, walls, or custom settlements and spawn hostile mobs nearby to create a defense scenario.

Abilities And Mechanics

Hostile Illagers

The 150 catalog illagers share pillager-style combat fundamentals. Their family and rank names identify each variant, while their dedicated appearances distinguish them visually.

The available rank names are:

• Scout
• Acolyte
• Marauder
• Sentinel
• Champion
• Vanguard
• Raider
• Keeper
• Hunter
• Commander

Each family contains one variant for every rank.

Town Guard

The Town Guard uses a different combat role from the hostile variants. It swims when necessary, attacks with its axe, watches nearby players, and searches for hostile creatures within its defensive range.

The Illager Catalog

The main catalog contains 15 families with 10 ranks each.

Crafting And Obtaining

All content is obtained through the Illager Universe creative tab.

• The 150 hostile illager spawn eggs are available there.
• The Town Guard spawn egg is available there as well.
• Spawn eggs can be used directly on the ground to summon their matching entity.
• No crafting recipes are provided for the mod’s spawn eggs.

Progression And Strategy

Illager Universe has no item or equipment progression. Its progression is player-directed:

1. Browse the creative tab and collect the spawn eggs.
2. Compare families and ranks in a controlled arena.
3. Create mixed illager encounters using different visual variants.
4. Add Town Guards to settlements or defensive builds.
5. Test how Town Guards handle waves of hostile creatures.

For safer experiments, build an enclosed arena before spawning multiple hostile illagers. For settlement scenarios, keep Town Guards near the area they are meant to defend and place hostile creatures within their reach.
